2021 P1 Registration Exercise for 2022 In-take

Hi everyone, need to ask for advice again.

I am looking at the possibility of applying for Palm View for Phase 2Cs. There’s estimated 83 vacancies for Phase2Cs.
My nephew is staying between 1-2 km from Palm View. Do you think the success chance is high?

Try to look at the historical data for 2020 for this phase and get a feel of the competition. It may help you.

Its not easy to read catchment and excess from the 2C.

PV vacancies increased about 21 as compared to last year. Its quite close to punggol primary and Nan chiau and springdale +-200 was balloted out in 2C. Natural choice based on distance will be anchor green, which will absorb around 80+ to 90+ applicants. Those who failed at hougang and xinmin will be grouped mostly in the 1-2km zone.

Last year PV conducted ballot for those 1-2km. It's hard to tell what are the odds within the 1-2km number. but the obvious should be the odds this year be better than last as the excess from the above schools are comparable (this vs last). More parents will be more cautious at 2Cs and want to avoid balloting.

The same 3 distance priority buckets will kick in if there are more applicants than vacancies.

Any advice on northview and Xishan which could be a better option to apply for 2CS as we are residing within 1 km? Remaining slots left for both school about the same from what we see from updated website

Go for the most convenient. Take a trip down to feel.

For this year Phase 2C, there was balloting for applicants who live between 1-2 km from the school.

Guess most people expert now.

In a nutshell:
1. 11 schools belong to schools with 0 vacancy for Phase 2C Supplementary in 2020. Fortunate to have seats this year but also likely mean they are going to ballot in this phase.
2. 18 schools have more applications in 2020 than places available in 2021 for Phase 2C Supplementary.
3. 10 other schools balloted in 2020 but has more places available this year.

Cos the number of vacancies has not moved.
