So the line can either form the base of the isosceles triangle or one of the two equal sides of the triangle. So possibly only 2 ways to draw the triangle, leading to two possible answers? 🤷🏻

Just to chk, for AL score there won’t be any moderation right? as compared to t-score.
AL score doesn’t take reference how well your peers do but rather how well you do the paper. I thought this is the change for AL score -

no more moderation for the Raw marks (score) under AL system.
What you see, is what you get !
However, assuming that majority of students did not do well for Maths this year, end up not so many P6 students scored AL 4, maybe the COP for some popular Secondary schools may adjust on its own, move up slightly.
Eg.
say If u expect COP for a popular school to be AL 6, who knows, maybe become AL 7 instead this year, something like that, which is good, isn't it ?
Anyway, 50% of 2021 PSLE is over, since already done with 2 subjects (English + Maths). Left with the remaining 50% balance (Chinese + Science), next week -

Keeping fingers crossed. Hope for the best. It is an assumption that majority of the students did not do well as some students able to solve the difficult math qns. Let’s focus on the last 3 papers. Got a nagging feeling may not be easy either with the new AL score.

Just curious, is there a theory as to why the "difficult" paper moves around among the subjects each year? Or, are all of the papers of basically the same difficulty year after year with the difference being every so often SEAB finds a new way to ask the same underlying material but because the kids haven’t seen it 100 times before in practice it seems "hard?"
If there is a "hard" paper each year, I always felt like it was best if this came in your strongest subject. I think this would be true under both t-score and AL, although my gut reaction is that the advantage is amplified in AL. -
Hard or easy, it depends on the child, what skills has he picked up through his 6 years of formal education.
Not to offend any stakeholders here.
If a child only learnt solutions to problem sums from tuition centres which are so eager to display their solutions in online platforms, he may struggle if faced with brand new qns, esp under exam conditions.
Most importantly, a child needs to learn the critical thinking skills, higher order thinking skills. When faced with new problems or old, he can fall back on his own skills to find his own solution.
Parents have to understand how his child is solving the sums, through memory or thinking skills, to discern if the lessons he is getting will be helpful. Practices of similar qns may more harmful than anything. -

Hang in there, people. Civility is the only blessing we can have in this world to counter whatever we feel are unjust. Whilst I agree that the parent may not be thinking too well about the thoughts of other worried parents, I don't think the intent here is to rub their faces in shame. At least, we still get some good information that algebra seems to be accepted

Don’t be surprise your kids get all answers correct but end up get AL3 or AL4 is she used algebra derive from the sentence all the way.
