A blessed morning to all fellow parents!
Can any experienced parents/wise ppl in this KSP forum share their top tips for how to revise the coming CL papers with their DS/DD (i.e. what/where/which specific areas to focus on and speculated topic for this year's pictures compo etc), please help... thanks a lot!
This will be my advice for tomorrow's preparation: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=84699&p=1874232&hilit=chenlaoshi#p1874212

You may find this https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=95548&start=60#p2039448 useful too.

All the best to the Pri 6s for their remaining papers! :rahrah:

Do have empathy for those who found the paper difficult. Unfortunately, a one-time exam is kind of like a game of Russian Roulette. No matter how smart or how prepared you are, play enough times and eventually you won’t score as well as you had hoped/expected. We just never know when it is going to happen or if our kid will be unfortunate. I’ve always thought the positive outcomes here are the result of a bit of good luck. This is not to say hard work and preparation don’t matter; just that good luck can simply be the absence of bad luck.

Now, that a good phrase! I used to say this when I was doing operations in a data centre: \"No news is good news.\"

:rotflmao: my Chinese is bad, but its sufficient for a good laugh.

Jokes aside, I find the surest and best-est way of improving Chinese is to master the following words: “飞雪连天射白鹿,笑书神侠倚碧鸳”. Once you complete this set of 武林秘籍, Chinese confirm upgrade by at least 10 levels.

Holy crap. I can only see some white snow shoot at some white deer, some laughing book hero riding some critter. What it means... I have to climb Mount Everest to find out. :udaman:

Well, if your so called algebra equation is derive not from the sentence itself, then it is ok.

Else, no working mark will be given!

I have say enough. Up to you guy to believe.

Don’t be surprise your kids get all answers correct but end up get AL3 or AL4 is she used algebra derive from the sentence all the way.

If I'm to accept what you say, then you must be some mathematics teacher from some school. I do fear now, that math teachers in Singapore are confused over
the use of algebra. How come some say can and yet others say cannot? So if the child can use \"advanced\" algebra to get the right answer and present all his workings, he still won't get full marks?

                      I'm very confused.

Nothing to be confused of. Very simple. Apply what the teacher taught your kids and not apply what you teach your kids. Share with us which school teacher told you so.

Parents are the one pushing the kids to use algebra derive from sentence to solve it. they are the one not align with the school using the heuristic method in solving the maths questions.

I believe your kids told you many times but most parents choose to be in denial.
