Justbehappy, did you turn on your aircon while recuperating?

Will need to special clean the aircon after that…

      Copy & paste…

"If patients switch on the air-con in the room, they should get an air-con specialist to wash it after the isolation period, says a cleaning expert. "This is because the Covid-19 virus is airborne and particles may be trapped in the coil," says Mr Bryan Wong, a cleaning specialist at cleaning firm Hiremop."

Seriously speaking, it sounds quite opportunistic. :moneyflies:

Hi MrsKiasu, thanks for your tip on cleaning aircon, but we hardly use aircon at home, mainly use wall fans and ceiling fan to have better circulation of air. For PCR at clinic, we collected paracetamol, throat and running nose medicine and paid a subsidized rate of $10 (think govt subsidized all who do PCR). Besides receiving instructional SMSes from MOH for PCR positive and for close contact, we did not contact MOH at all and they did not call any of us too. We received a letter of isolation order and an oximeter at our doorstep. There is no telemedicine.

Good news is, our smell appears to have come back a little (after 1-2 weeks into our infection/loss of smell), today we can get a faint smell of coffee and soap fragrance, hurray 🙂

So happy for you. It’s a relieve for us to hear you regaining sense of smell. I can’t take coffee, but the aroma of coffee always uplifting for me too. You take care and stay in good cheer!

And now we've been https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/Transport/Archiv_Risikogebiete/Risikogebiete_2021-10-22_en.pdf?__blob=publicationFile. Is this the Stabilisation Phase we have been told? :faint:

And I've never seen this new chap (who wants to achieve national immunity) don PPE to enter high-risk Centralised Recovery Facility (CRF for Covid-positive migrant workers, not dormitories) or NCID/hospitals to boost the morale of our HCWs.

Even his https://www.facebook.com/JPuthucheary/posts/431242655035925 to cheer them up.

We need some checks and balances. Can the MTF Co-Chair Covid rules decision-maker be the same guy who's holding on to the national purse strings? Is it appropriate? I know shifu left him 5 pre-approved budgets to spend (to which the WP has quietly assented), but as the new custodian now, he cannot use those monies as and when he wishes to patch holes and cracks he et al have created, as well as to feed those g-connected coys which obviously are impacted by some of his decisions. I fear we're going to see more of this 大撒币 until his shifu reaches 65yo.

The choice I see is either have a super-high but short-lived spike or a long-drawn-out high plateau. But while we are at that plateau stage (for months or years more?), other countries who went the other route will have put Covid behind them and will then shun us.
                      :goodpost:
Perhaps they are buying time as the 5-11yos will only be able to take their Pfizer early 2022. They also need to study the effects of Molnupiravir and other therapeutics on the less severe cases, as well as to give time for the rest of us to take our boosters (by Mar-Jun).

If there's no easing of 2-pax dine in, very likely they are taking the long-drawn high plateau route leading towards the end of the tunnel. To put it bluntly, they are postponing the deaths of the unvaccinated vulnerable with underlying comorbidities. Boosters are no guarantee as we have seen the MOH situation reports recently. Green represents those who'd taken boosters.

I think we just bochap lah, even with so many restrictions, daily death toll is often above 10 and still see 3k+ PCR +ve cases. Imagine those ART +ve yet not reported cases ...
