Just wondering, for appeal, the child's grade must still be within the COP is it? This COP is based on the 2020 one or they will come up with a new set of COP based on 2021 posting when looking at appeal applications?

It should be the same like past years, meet cop then can appeal, and cop is based on the new one that will be released along with posting results in dec 2021.

Thank you. Thinking of applying to TJC (COP 9) with AL 10. not sure if will be ok. Any thoughts on applying to schools with one point off COP?
If TJC is where you want to go, then no harm trying I guess? If you are so east, I guess there are not that many options. TJC, Anglican High. Temasek Sec.

AL6 is about 262 and above While AL 5 is about 268 and above if converted to the old method.

Based on 2020… RGS and RI cut off is about 260 to 261. This means that those got AL6 might need to ballot though the chances should be high.

            Hi mummies,

My DS scored AL7 (M), HCI as first choice, follows by NJC, Victoria IP, Cath High.
My question here, is it too risky to put hci and njc as first and second choices here ? Since their cop range 4-7?
Given that this cohort has many elite kids according to the distribution poll. Please enlighten me ! TIA

If I were in your position, I wouldn't put HCI first choice as the odds are low and not worth wasting the benefit of placing as first priority. AL7 was the indicative COP was NJC last year, so with citizenship and first choice, even with ballot the odds are good. VS (IP) seems a reasonable safety net though Cat High, being a SAP where the HCL makes a difference, might be safer.

As for the distribution poll, I believe it is skewed since it is updated and monitored by parents who take a keener interest in their children's education and therefore, all else being equal, likelier to have better results.

The ESIS last year was 261 , and it’s AL5 this year . So I think AL 6 is probably not 262

HCL scores are not (and never have been) considered in applications to non-SAP schools.

So your 7P (or 7M or 7D) is the same as 7 in a non-SAP school.

AL 5 is EEIS cut off means AL 6 will likely need to ballot for the last seat based on the criteria if there is a tie.
