We are getting based on the recommendation at https://www.sst.edu.sg/school-uniform/
3 sets of school uniforms and 2 sets of PE attire.

Some thought on the following:
Long pants just once a week (Monday), so may be just 1 piece enough?
Jacket: worn on some occasion only - so KIV or get a bigger size

Hi parents,


My son is joining sec 1 next year and he would like to find out more on Robotics CCA. So far we heard that this CCA is super hot and need to pass through some tests. So, would like to know if you can share more info about this CCA:

1. Prior skills in both robotics and coding needed? If coding, which language?
2. What will be tested in the selection rounds?

anyone can confirm on their "formal attire" for special occasions, the "court shoes" means black leather executive shoes or can be a black plain sport shoes?

and if my son wears a black sports shoes with berm, then the socks MUST be black too?

Just a reminder, the students can only wear SST jacket and not other jacket to school.

For formal attire, I think you can hold on first and get it when necessary.

Students can wear any colour sport shoes with any colour socks just not to colourful like big logos or pictures.

3 polo tees
3 long pants

if your child prefer bermuda den probably 1 long pant is enough.
my son doesnt want bermuda. so i get 3 long pants. haha.

i still have a size 30 bermuda at home, never wear before. if anyone interested, can let me know.

Just to share, my child have an AL 8 score with AL1 in Math and AL2 in Science.

To add on, the SST principal shared during the virtual meeting that AL score or T score may not be a good indicator for success rate of SST DSA. Interested student should have a strong interest in project work/discussion, as majority of the school work may involves project work. If your child is not interested in group discussion/project work, maybe SST may not be a good choice. However, if your child have these interests, then by all mean, go for it. You will never know, unless you try.

We have a good discussion with my son if he's interested in SST DSA, explained to him about about SST's applied learning and the kind of school education that SST offered. He indicated his interest, hence we suggested that he should try for SST DSA. If he's successful, good, if not, take it as a learning experience.

Does anyone here know whether SST took in any students via Supplementary Intake Exercise last year?


And what was the minimum requirement (PSLE score) to apply?
