ok, as far as i can see its math/science but these do change with anyone, but i think it is still going to be academics i suppose, so nush will give him that since there are so many pathways possible with the nus curriculum

And yes i get the point about DSA, exactly the reason i am trying to find the right fit, he truly enjoys certain things, like when in P4 i signed him up for a math olympiad for the first time, he got hooked on to it, he seems to enjoys doing those ha ha, as for science he has always been an avid reader, reading encyclopedias since very young, and over a period it sort of naturally progressed to reading more advanced stuff like quantum physics(right now he think he is going to be a researcher), in fact at a point he ran out of books of interest in kids section at library, nowadays he borrows from adult section(histroty, geography, comics, sports will also be in the mix usually) lol
and he likes to talk about this stuff, play quiz etc., so i feel nush will have the right kind of peer group in this regard, its about the joy of learning

but then he is not a typical star student, he doesnt score consistently, partially maybe because i just left him to his own tools, no tuition, he just plays outside in the evenings, etc, so thats the reason not looking at RI kind of schools, i feel kids there will be more academically oriented in that sense where they would be very good with their exams etc,
NUSH seems like a good fit for your child! All the best! 💪🏼

Thank you so much for sharing. We have seen the e-open house, it is very appealing. Hence, the skepticism in me keeps wondering if it is too good to be true. I am hoping that there will be a physical open house this year. It is assuring to know that your child is happy with the school!
I was also impressed with the way the school leaders spoke and all during the e-open house. So far, it seems that “what you see is what you get”. ☺️

Hi,also keen to know what’s the commitment level like for P6 students for the first module of accelrated math from nush. I.e. how many hours of self study is required. If he doesn’t take up this at p6, can he still accelerate if eventually he goes to nush? Am i right to say that Nush is the only school that offers subject- based accelration?

Depending on which part of Toa Payoh estate, there is a 151 n 151E (xpress) which goes directly to the school alight at the bus stop along clementi road after dover road. 151 can be catch outside Toa Payoh along the PIE bus stop
