In Chinese, we say 尽人事，听天命，(we can do our best and up to the God's Will). Since both you and your DS and those nice people surrounding have try their best, then we just use a 平常心 (a peaceful mind) to wait for the result announcement. All the best to your DS.

Wishes your son successful in the shortlist, ace through the interviews and get to pursue medicine. Probably will be hearing from them next week by SMS and the Application Status Login Portal.

Here's how applications are considered under ABAS:

Your application for admission will first be considered under the standard admissions pathway by the NUS Office of Admissions.
If your University Admissions Score meets the cut-off point for Medicine, you will be shortlisted and invited for the assessment. You will not be considered through the ABAS scheme.
If you do not meet the cut-off point set by the NUS Office of Admissions, your application will be considered under ABAS.

So for those 2nd timer with 88.75 and above rank point, it will be treated under standard admission pathway.

Those that did not meet the cut-off point but got other exceptional skills or talents will be evaluated by the Selection Committee on the basis of exceptional talent and achievement, in addition to academic results.
