This is RI Math right? 16 MCQ/short answer + 3 long form problems x 3 sub-problems each.
Son said there were 16 short questions and 3 long problems. Short questions relatively doable and long problems similar to this year's RI olympiad second round. (Marks given for not only the answer, but correct working as well).
My son said NUSH Math was all short forms and there were many questions (he didn’t remember exactly but about >20 questions). -

Congrats.
Received invitation from NJC for Modern Dance today. Good luck to all the applicants!
So some schools do email on weekends! -

Wow, thanks to all that added info on the DSA selection tests. Definitely seems like the tests are more intensive than what was run the last couple of years (given tests were online in school). Congrats to all that made it through the day, and good luck with further rounds (interviews or CO/WL allocation)!

Hi,
For my son who did the English RI test, agree that the compre was challenging.
In fact understand that Part A - 45 mins there were 2 Comprehensions - together with the SW - due to timing constraint he couldnt finish all the questions frm the 2nd compre.
Question - Any other students who could not finish?
PaRT B- 45 mins - was poems. 6 of them with questions, these were tough>
Question - just wondering if the school expects the students to do poem analysis well or just trying to see if the students can analyse to a certain extent and not totally bumped by the non-PSLE style?
Usually Poem analysis is covered in Sec 2-3.
Thanks! -

When he came out from that hours long test (he went in 12pm, starts perhaps 1pm, a long break in between, came out 5.30pm), he immediately said “Maths was very easy, Science was very hard”. He also said “Maths problems felt like PSLE (style)”, not entirely sure what that mean. Will ask more.
Whats your son's feedback about nush science test?
Science test he said there’s a lot of questions that give additional new context/knowledge first, things that are completely new for him but given as information, and then the question asks for analysis, conclusions, what’s right/wrong, etc.
I think it means testing “Scientific methodology”, not “Scientific knowledge”.
