That must have been quite a culture shock for her. I heard from friends that for math/sciences, RI (Y1-4) std seems to be higher than RGS.
Not exactly a shock, as it is kind of a well known fact that RI is pitched at a much higher level than RGS!

My daughter (5 yrs ago) said that, based on the common tests, it was generally said that RI boys did better at Maths, but RGS girls did better at English. In JC, I don't think it really showed?

Hi, would any parent be able to share where to get last minute help for Bio ? My DS has been scoring As for Bio but the last CT, he failed his Bio. He is quite shaken and needs help to check his answers when he attempts the past year papers and to zero in on where he went wrong. More of skills and techniques in answering questions. A levels is about 3 months away… need to do a last dash.

If not convenient to share at this platform, can kindly PM me? Much appreciated!

Did the child take Literature in Year 1 & 2? If so, have a chat with the Literature teacher. It will also be helpful if the child knows any seniors who took Literature.

Note:- Majority of the JC students take Economics while some take History, Geography, Literature, ...

Whats your child’s deciding factor in choosing Economics vs another Humanities Lit/Hist/Geo? Vice versa? Other than passion/interest. Please share.

My kid doing Lit (His other Humanities grades pretty much the same in Yr 2). Pretty decent grades but not fantastic (that for sure Lit is a confirmed choice). Can’t say if he has a natural flair or real interest either.

How big is Yr 5-6 Lit group? Whats the ratio between boys and girls? What characteristics (other than passionate/talented) will be good to have?

He’s alright with year 1-2 Lit but is wondering how much more in-depth is H2 Lit . Yes will ask him to speak with his seniors who did H2 Lit. Thanks !

RE: RGS takes in 450 at Sec 1…

RGS and RI only takes 400 at Sec 1
