          Students who have obtained a grade of D7 or better in Higher MT at the GCE ‘O’ Level need not offer H1 MTL in JC (Year 5-6).

          All the best.

            As we will be away in December, so we would like to prepare this ahead. Just wanted to check if anyone have the RI uniform list (like what we need to buy) for secondary 1 student? I noticed that secondary school Uniform is no longer so straight forward. There are tie, badge, jacket etc.....
            Based on last year’s experience & recall correctly, DSA students would receive booklist and date to purchase books and uniforms in somewhere November. They can purchase early December at school before the results of school posting is released. Or order online & home delivery or pickup from school.

              We bought the following. Because of White, we don’t wash everyday and accumulate for a week to wash by hand first before throw into wash machine to rinse.
              * School uniform (white shirt & short pant) - 3sets
              * Short pant - 2pcs
              * House t-shirt - 1pc (there is a day is to house shirt with white pant) - this need to wait till get the house assigned to.
              * PE (t-shirt & short) - 2sets
              * Polo-T - 1pc (optional to wear on Friday with white pant) - we got this Polo T to reduce 1 white shirt to wash 😅
              * Tie - 1pc for special occasions
              * School badge - 1pc
              * Jacket (hoodies and windbreaker) - optional
              * School socks - optional

              kids need to change back school uniform after PE.
              They are not allowed to wear PE attire during lessons except PE lesson 😄
              Increase laundry tasks during weekend😅

              Hope above helps.

                  Just visited In-Trend uniform over weekend, they moved to 1 Kaki Bukit Road 1(01-31) despite Google Map still showing address as Geylang Road. It's in the middle of a warehouse-like facility, took a few minutes to find the shop.

                      Hi all,

                      My son got an AL5 this year.

                      I am also on the lookout for parents that hve kids in both RI and ACS I as I need the information to make a call…
                      My older one is in ACS (I) and doing IB…But now younger one wants to go RI>

                      Q1 - Any parents that have kids in both schools? I know that has low chances - but then -

                      Q2 - for those parents here who had kids in RI who entered not with the best score like AL4 - how are they able to cope in this school?
                      My older one is in ACS (Ind) and he chose that school. My younger one now wants to join RI. I am a bit reluctant as I will have kids in two different streams - like A level and IB.

                      Can I ask about the culture in RI - understand its IP so there will be projects - so are these also weighted like in ACS or in RI for 100% is based on the year end exams?
                      Also any other sharing on how tough it get academically as compared to other schools like VS and ACS (I) for boys?
                      Does it mean that RI kids will have to always face cut-throat competition and keep attending enrichment to keep up?

                      Also, unlike ACS (Independent) RI has one CCA policy- is that correct?

                      Thanks for any insights, in advance.

                      Thanks so so much!

                        If RI is his first choice, he will find ways to strive for the best for next 6years 😉
                        My son is Yr2 next year, I only can provide info about the Assessment frame work as enclosed images that we had this year.

                        If he is discipline and self motivated, he will be fine if he loves studying in that school.
                        My son did not attend any enrichment classes for all subjects and coping well. Self-drive is crucial rather than our choice for them which we thought is best for them.
                        Most of his schoolmates or classmates are very helpful, friendly and super playful too😄. They helped each other and not that we thought at first.
                        Most of them like to spend their time together in school even after school hours.
                        Above are the experiences that my son had this year and I can see he is happier than in primary school.
                        Hope above sharing help.
                        Thank you.
