Hi! Im new to this forum. First time posting something. For intro, i have a son with mild dyslexia. Now he is in P2 with school that did not have AE. Would like to ask if anybody know of schools with this specializing. Fyi, im staying aroung east area and would like schools to be around this area. I have seen the MOE listing of schools with AE but it did not state the school specializing in dyslexia, autism or ADHD…

My son went for english intervention and is improving a bit, although the teacher said he needs to improves his spelling, comprehension and writing too. I think a lot of work to do on that. I dont know how schools with allied educator will help him.

One more thing my son is not only dyslexic maybe he has dyscalculia too. That is what the intervention’s teacher told me. Furhermore, he failed his maths in his mid year exam.

I’m still considering whether to let him stay in his current school and just send him to intervention class or change to new school with allied educator.

Please help n advice. Anyone?

Where your kid go for intervention?


If both use different method of intervention, even both methods are equally good on its own, but 2 methods will confuse the child.

Get more advice from the main person giving intervention.

Same question as JonC's Btw, JonC, you got a private tutor using OG method right? How long did u send your child for it?

did the tutor say why he/she thinks it's dyscalculia? Does your kid have problem with basic mathematical concepts, or with symbols, or with sequencing/alignment etc? I think it's helpful to distinguish these.
