I have read that you will get your result scores after you have finished the test. The system will release it on the spot. The results are meant for you to know how well you have performed. But the medical school will still have to go through all the applicants results to short list them for interviews.[/quote]
Hi Desmond - you have pm. Thanks.

        Hi! iRabbit,
Nice to know you! Read your PM and replied. Best wishes for your DS. If they have shortlisted him for MMI, the chance is high that he will get to pursue the course that he has opted and passionate of.

From NTU website: Interviews at LKCMedicine will consist of Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI), where candidates will undergo several one-to-one interviews with different interviewers, designed to assess a candidate’s aptitude and suitability for the MBBS programme. Applicants invited for the selection interviews will complete a series of eight mini interviews, each lasting approximately five minutes, conducted consecutively in eight separate interview rooms.

NUS shortlist 1200 for interviews and only 280 being accepted. NTU shortlist about 500 for MMI and only 160 being offered.

Do you know what are NTU’s criteria in selecting applicants for MMI? My child applied for NTU Medicine and his A’levels score is 90. I can’t recall his BMAT score but he once mentioned it was a pretty good score. Not even an email to attend the MMI.

Usually after you get your BMAT results, you are also provided a bar charts to see how well you have faired among all the candidates that have taken the papers. Usually most of them scored 5 or above and those that able to score 6 are few. So you know where you stand among those potential. Also the different sections of the papers (e.g. Part 1, 2 and 3) - if I am correct, part 2 and 3 scores are deciding factors that the panel is
accessing. Besides that your referees, portfolio and personal statements also play a part.

You must place great attention to detail; very careful and precise when submitting your application. The panels are very sharp in picking potential candidates.

I wonder why with a 90 UAS, 5.7,5.7 and 4A, my child didn’t receive a notice to attend MMI. 😞

Those already selected for MMI could be students from Poly/IB/NUS High as they have submitted their applications earlier.

The submission deadline for A-Level students is until 19 Mar 2023. Hope your child will get the good news in the coming weeks (MMIs will be conducted during April).

                        All the best!
