      Hi,

Other than just doing assessment book; I would like to have a good reference to grammar rules etc so that I can better explain to my kids. Any good grammar guide to recommend?

        hi,

I’m currently using "Better Grammar" written by Heng Hung Yong and published by Success Publications to coach my P3 boy. So far it’s quite useful, you may wished to browse a copy at Popular.

Hi, any good assessment books to recommend for grammar practice? Went through Popular and got a EPH book but it is terrible once I really started having the kid do its exercises.

How about the MC \"Explained!\" books (Grammar and Vocab are not too bad)?

Also, at this age (or say P1 - P4), there's no substitute for just reading a wide variety of materials. It's hard to measure, but I think doing this indirectly builds up a lot of the kid's language skills. You can refine the exam / testing outcome aspects in P5 - P6.

Thanks. Yes trying to get the reading habit going too.

I don’t know if this book is still around, but a friend passed me a copy many years ago, seemed quite good for setting the foundation in a structured way & it’s full colour, not boring for the kids. Have already passed it on long ago cos my kid never needed it (he picked up all his grammar rules via reading storybooks on his own). But do have a look out for it (Popular/Carousell):
