All children are born innocent. But subconsciously or consciously influenced by parents and teachers or carers or society norm etc they interact with on regular basis, abt brand and status etc

For those oversubscribed 2CS schools, the unsuccessful ones will be posted by MOE to another school with vacancies. It could be 3km, 4km, 5km or 6km away? Then won't the children suffer from the travelling time from Mondays to Fridays?

Looking at Toa Payoh 2CS numbers.
Those unsuccessful for Kheng Cheng, the male students likely to be posted by MOE to First Toa Payoh or Cedar Primary.
Marymount Convent is all-girls school. -

I think it varies by town/planning area. For some areas, if you sum up excess applicants (applicants - vacancies) for schools that were oversubscribed in 2C, this is lower than the available spaces at the schools that were undersubscribed (in 2C). In this situation, it's still probably OK to ballot for certain schools within the area in 2CS. If unsuccessful, you will likely still be posted (relatively) nearby.

I think this is one reason why we see schools with lower enrollment totals (say 100+ students per level) in different regions. It's hard to combine these schools because logistically it will be very difficult for some people. -

The posting will probably be to the school closest to you. I don't think MOE will want anyone to complain about distance to the school. But there has been no feedback on this from parents in the community. Maybe someone can share.

Those who applied for Kheng Cheng, if living within TPY HDB town and difficult to get to Cedar Pri but posted there after 2CS balloting failed, you can easily request transfer to First TPY PS, it is nearer to travel to.

Can anyone convince anyone that the earth is flat? LOL!
They need to drum up the comms and publicity for this famous statement. Convince the parents. -

Good reasoning. Well look at which school the Ministers send their kids to?
Actually it is rather easy to convincing parents, I could always convince other parents every school is a good school because my son was studying in a neighbouring school where lot of places are still available during Phase 2C(S). You cannot having your kid studying in CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' school and telling other parents every school is good school. Who will believe you?
-

Same for my Child too.
Mine is too innocent then. When he goes to visit friends’ house (regardless of dwelling type), he only remembers whether the host is friendly or not.
