It was heartening to receive updates and messages of appreciation from parents and students after O Level results was released yesterday.
To many, the eventual result was a reminder/proof that school HCL exam results over the years weren’t necessarily clear/accurate indications of where they stand. Consistent effort, belief and patience are key to success.

[2024 Sec 4 HCL student]: Super proud of my student for her incredible achievement in mastering the Chinese language, especially as a non-Chinese!
Having tutored her since Primary 6, it’s been amazing to witness her dedication and progress over the years. I’m also deeply grateful for the trust she and her family have placed in me—not only in continuing tuition through Secondary level but also in making the effort to travel to Bukit Timah after I stopped classes at Hougang to concentrate at one location.
