yep, have received the email. it is a rejection email šŸ˜ž

don't know how to break the news to DS who is v keen to get into NUSH.
The rejection does not mean your child is not good, just that there are some others who did better at the test that day.

When PSLE result is released in Nov, if the child has 250 n above and a A* in both Maths n Science, the child can apply directly with NUSHigh. NUSHigh does not take part in the sec sch central posting.

        ....
May be you wana let your kid know after the test, so as not to affect his test tmr. Good luck.
In life there is always ups & downs, our kids have to learn to accept small disappointment like this. It's not the end ...

I think i am more disappointed than he is. He doesn't seem to be bothered and told me he already knew he wouldn't be able to make it after the test itself. He also said he would not be able to get into NUSH as he won't be able to get A* for Science šŸ˜ž i told him he just had to work harder and try his best. Internally, i am also adjusting my expectation. as for dh, his first reaction was , how come i didn't prepare him for the test?! he made the same remark the day before the test. i don't think it is possible or necessary to prepare for the test cause nobody knows what will come up and also, if a child can't make it, it just shows that his level of thinking is still not there yet and such things can't be forced....

Ya, last minute preparation does not help.

If the kid is interested in science, get him to start reading references beyond the P6 topics early.
My boy said some of the references he read helped him in NUSH test.

I also came across 2 to 3 questions I had done before in Math section. I received those problems during math olympiad training.
