How much do you spend on the kids' tuition/enrichments?

Your welcome, Barney.
You might also want to read through the thread on Languages, Speech and Drama. There is one on British Council, Learning Lab & MASC. Another one that I like is CSC comment on how to improve English but I can’t remember which thread was it.
Don’t worry too much. I’m sure your daughter will do just fine in P1. Best of luck & warm wishes. -
Hi all
My friend just engaged a maths tutor for her primary school child and the tuition fees are quite shocking. It is about 100 bucks a lesson. Anyway, how much do you guys spend on tuition per child per month? I spent a lot on Chinese enrichment classes in primary school.
Any input is most appreciated!
Thanks! -

(i) DD 1
- about $140 for Berry's (pay per term)

- about $200 for Lorna Whiston (pay per term)
- $110 for piano
- $105 for Ballet
(iii) DS (less kindy fees)

So its quite a bit. Typical Kiasu parent. But all sign up done by my boss (DW). I just pay the bills
If left to myself, they probably wouldnt go for any enrichment class

Hi redrose,I will go through her schoolbag every night. Make sure she does her homework. I will go through her maths & english.I believe in practise, practise and more practise. So I will gave her assessment almost every day. But she will stopwork by 5 every day. That's her free time after that.
Chinese 140+300 (3 times weekly) I am ZERO in chinese. Therefore need more help.
I am just curious. With all the enrichments, school hmwk and your assessments to be done, how does your dd managed to finish everything by 5pm everyday?
My dd is also in P3 and I am struggling to find more free time for her.

What time your DD sleep at night? Does she have breaks in between tasks or must complete all before free time? Did you train her from young? She must have very good time-management skill! Please share some tips how to train kids to manage time.
My K2 DD has violin ($380/mth), chinese & eng ($240/mth), maths ($100/mth). I don't give her additional assessments n she has no homework from kindy, but some days she still can't finish her enrichment work/practice till 11pm... cos she demands breaks, snack time, blah blah in between and a lot of time lost concentration while doing work...
My 2yo has right-brain training ($200/mth) and bilingual playgroup once weekly ($160/mth) -
Redrose’s post was way back in 2008 when her dd was in P3. It’s now 2010 and her dd should be in P5 this year.
