Ah, I see… thanks for enlightening me, Luanee!

In this case, what are my DD’s chances for Holy Innocents Pri (since St Nic’s definitely no chance) if I live within 2km and qualify for Phase 2B?

        Hi,

I'm looking at the balloting history for Holy inncent @ hougang for the past 2yrs. Under Phrase 2B, balloting is required for >2km? for ex, if i'm staying 1-2km and under phrase 2B, chances is good?

if i'm under 2C, not even need to think about it Embarassed

There has been balloting in the last 2 years for HI in Phase 2B for those staying beyond 2km only. But this has been trending up, so do take caution even if you are at 1-2km in Phase 2B.[/quote]Oh sorry, didnt read above, guess my question has been answered

          Hi

I'm new here Greatly appreciate if seniors can help me out..

          http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/toa-payoh
I am looking at the balloting history for TPY area and noted :
          1. St andrews junior under phase 2C was yellow, ie. Balloting required for 1-2km YEAR 2008.
          >>does that mean those who fall within 1km need not have any balloting done and got a place? I am abt 700m away.

I'm an ex student from HIPS, but then is so far away for my kids to study there as we shifted out from the area...sigh.

              Hi chiefKS,

thank you for your reply! Then so means :

              1. Phase 2C - no need to do PV, stay within 1 km and still mged to get a place in 2008?

If yes, then gotta see the trend for the upcoming years, coz my son will be gg P1 in year 2015…Am hoping and praying hard he will get in st andrews, without me doing PV…

At one point, I was hoping to get my ds2 into SAJS too! I think my boy will love their rugby programme! But alas... i am staying half way across SG, although I can go the option of parking my boy at my mum's place (1-2km away from SAJS) and go get a job.
Anyway, do note any upcoming development around SAJS...they'll contribute to the statistics.

And I thought sourcing for school for my 2006 boy is already kiasu enough....yours is 2008..... 😉

whatda mean "Anyway, do note any upcoming development around SAJS…they’ll contribute to the statistics."

do you have any information if they accept PV etc etc?

what i meant is that since your registration is only in 2014, there is a good 5 yrs from now - do note any upcoming residential development around SAJS as these will add to the numbers of applicants vying for the limited seats.
think you have to call them up to enquire about PV, as it is not surprising that some christians/mission schools don't accept PV as they don't want a case of balloting at phase 2B where the church members (you can expect a lot of applicants from this group) have to compete with the pvs.

                        ryes,
you are quite 'lucky' that you have pei chun to divert some of the demand away from SAJS. but once you get across this hurdle, your kid's secondary school education will be well taken care of too. 🙂
