During the audition, my DD was asked to perform different types of dance genres. She was also asked to do different types of stretching to test her flexibility. Understand that SCGS teaches all types of dance like jazz, ballet and chinese dance.

Wow, must be all rounded, very tough indeed.

:congrats: to laifeeling and singalion !

Thank you fruitplus. SCGS doesnt have choir on their DSA list but one can apply under the 'Others' category - they only take 1-2 children in that category. Guess we got lucky!!

            Hi

I’m asking on behalf of a fren. Her daughter is p5 this yr and she intend to DSA via choir next yr.

Would like to know what kind of qualification does the school look for in choir? Eg for dance it will be Distinction in the dance grading exam, how abt for choir?

            thanks

Hi Flametree, Choir is quite a limited field to do for DSA - as many schools dont have it on their req. However, my daughter has done the ABRSM first level thro choir and got distinction. She was also selected to go for overseas perf early this year and will be going for another one in Nov. School also has been getting SYF Gold with honors for the last 3 times - so guess that helped. Else, from my exp with this year DSA think kids should do more indiv based CCA rather than group - it helps.
