I understand there will be a new PATs branch in Alexandra (former Odessey) and Halifax’s principal will be heading it. Maybe you can try this branch if logistics is not an issue.

I enroll her for next year Playgroup. I agree it is ‘international’ there so I am unsure if it is a wise choice. Wanted to enrol into Halifax or Serangoon centres, but no vacancy. The next best choice is Mt Emily.

My gal is currently with Learning Vision. Their centres are also closed on Fri. I guess it is the same as they belong to KU group.

Hmm so far i do not think there are any schools that are comparable to Pat’s they are really on a league of their own.

They have really excellent teachers who have passion for kids/great system to ensure the kids are happy things run smoothly/great environment where kids get to explore learn/great curriculum that even infants at age of 1 get to start doing craft, learn songs,do gym.

believed Chiltern only accepts children above 3 years old.

i have the perception that chiltern house has a curriculum which is more like international schools. anyone able to verify that? not that what they do is anything fantastic, just that they focus on very basic and fundamental concepts such as boosting childrens' confidence, under the guidance of good quality teachers.

I have been a silent reader all the while.

Decided that its time to pen my thoughts about Pat’s.

My kid has been with Pat’s for almost a year.
Must say, the teachers are great, the principal is nice, and my kid love school!

However, i notice that they are taking in more and more students which is far from what the website claim.
My gal is in the toddler class and according to Pat’s website,
                    Teacher-Toddler Ratio: 1:6 (MCYS Recommended 1:8)
Currently her class has 16 students, 2 teacher.

Is it the same for other branches? I heard that Siglap also facing same problem for bigger classes.

My gal is happy in the school and i dont have plans to move.
But the fees we paying. I would expect Pat’s to stick to a low teacher student ratio.

oh that is not very nice considering the amount of fees you are paying. I will definitely not be happy if I am at the situation. I don’t mind paying for premium fees if only the class is small so each kid get full attention from the teacher.

I am disappointed to learn about this as I was considering putting my kid to Pat’s next year

Which center is your child at?

I think they try really hard to keep to the ratio and mayb have not found a suitable teacher yet?
At baby haven, every time more kids come they will have new teachers to ensure the ratio is kept 1:3.
Which i think is really good.
This ensures that kids get the attention they need and parents get the ratio they pay for,
