i find that Chiltern House's price range around the same.. and they have a few more branches now.

i have the perception that chiltern house has a curriculum which is more like international schools. anyone able to verify that? not that what they do is anything fantastic, just that they focus on very basic and fundamental concepts such as boosting childrens' confidence, under the guidance of good quality teachers.

I have been a silent reader all the while.

Decided that its time to pen my thoughts about Pat’s.

My kid has been with Pat’s for almost a year.
Must say, the teachers are great, the principal is nice, and my kid love school!

However, i notice that they are taking in more and more students which is far from what the website claim.
My gal is in the toddler class and according to Pat’s website,
        Teacher-Toddler Ratio: 1:6 (MCYS Recommended 1:8)
Currently her class has 16 students, 2 teacher.

Is it the same for other branches? I heard that Siglap also facing same problem for bigger classes.

My gal is happy in the school and i dont have plans to move.
But the fees we paying. I would expect Pat’s to stick to a low teacher student ratio.

oh that is not very nice considering the amount of fees you are paying. I will definitely not be happy if I am at the situation. I don’t mind paying for premium fees if only the class is small so each kid get full attention from the teacher.

I am disappointed to learn about this as I was considering putting my kid to Pat’s next year

Which center is your child at?

I think they try really hard to keep to the ratio and mayb have not found a suitable teacher yet?
At baby haven, every time more kids come they will have new teachers to ensure the ratio is kept 1:3.
Which i think is really good.
This ensures that kids get the attention they need and parents get the ratio they pay for,

Any mummy has comments regarding pat sch house at serangoon branch?

Currently my kid is in N1 half day, considering whether to extend to 3pm or full day. Any one have comment on their programs? Coz I don’t want to end up paying so much more for programs that if in the end children end up in free play activity.

                Dear crystalbelle08,

I have sent you a private message! 😉

But I am just thinking since your DD is happy there, perhaps there is not much a concern if she can fit in well even with the large class size? Alternatively you can raise your concern directly with the principal.
                :celebrate:

                  Hi Little Helper,

Mine is at Mt Emily branch.
I am thinking of transferring to other branches if this goes on.
Glad that your branch do not have this problem.
So that means the problem lies with Mt Emily, i thought its a common tactic by all Pat’s.

I hope they can recruit 1 more teacher.

                      Hi mummies,

Need some advice here, I am thinking of moving my child from St James Kindergaten to Pat’s schoolhouse, as St James parking is a nightmare and while the teachers are great, the distance is a bit far for me. I am thinking of the Mt Emily branch. Any feedback?

                        Hi,

                        My kid’s with Mt Emily.
Although this is a small branch, environment is nice and conducive.
Teachers and principal are great too.
Just make sure that the class u looking at keeps to the teacher student ratio as promised by them.
