                Hihi,

I've viewed Lorna Whiston at East Coast.
It's on the 2nd floor, above East Coast Burger King, fully air-conditioned.
Currently, the area is a big open space with little dividers to separate out the classes. I understand from the \"tour\" around the place that in 2011, they'll be building individual classrooms to accomodate the different groups of students.

When i was there to view the place around 11.30am, there're supposedly 2 classes going on. 1 Playgroup and 1 N1. There are 2 teachers for each class (1 chinese and 1 English). But somehow i find it abit weird that they actually combine the 2 classes into 1 (though there're still 4 teachers there with the kids). Maybe because the 2 classes are quite small? I vaguely remembered that there are around 10 kids prob for the 2 classes combined.

My boy (26mths) actually ran to join them in sing-dance sessions as well as \"making cookies\". The hygiene level there was quite good, as teaches make sure they wash their hands before and after making cookies. Kids were quite well disciplined as well.

Anyone has anymore feedback on this school? It's really quite expensive as compared to the other CCs, but it seems to be the only one available so far after I've called Shaws, Schoolhouse, Chiltern, Pat's.

Do let me know if you've any views on this school. Thanks alot! 😄

Oh, the school fees are as follows:

                  Half-day AM: $1048.60
                  Half-day PM: $952.30

                  Full day: $1594.30

Plus registration fees, school uniforms, insurance, folder bag.

                  Hope it helps!

                    Hi,

My girl is currently at Lorna Whiston (Alexandra). She has been in school for more than half a year.

My personal experience with the school has been overwhelmingly positive. I love the teachers and the principal. The teachers are truly caring (especially my girl’s chinese teacher) and the principal is strict but warm and very knowledgeable and experienced.

My girl enjoys school very much. I admit that she has always been a difficult child but the school teachers have been very patient with her. Now, my girl loves her teachers!

Even the taking of school bus has been a good learning experience for her. Uncle Lee has been so friendly and accomodative (he is positiviely one of the friendliest school bus uncles around!) Her friends in the bus make it a point to welcome my girl. There is even a school-mate in the bus who will hold my girl’s hand and comfort her when my girl first attended school.

All in all, I love the school. Except for the fees, there is really nothing much I can complain about.

                      Hi,

Anyone has anymore comments/reviews on the East Coast Lorna Whiston? I’m thinking of putting my boy there, but will like to hear more reviews first. Thanks! 😃

Beside the above 'fundamental' point. Any other thing different or unique different from other CC? If not, it does not make sense to put yr kid in such an expensive Childcare where you can find all this basic requirement in other childcare.

Unless yr objective is to let yr kid socialise with the 'rich' kid, i do not see any plus point of putting the kids in there.
