      INNOVATE:
      ttlkbs

From prelim score of 229 to realistic target T-score of 235 is attainable. This will put him in a good neighbourhood school. Just believe and he will receive.
      hi INNOVATE,
Thx for the encouragement. He got >250 for his Common Test 1 & SA1 and ranked 52 among 355 student. So 229 for Prelim & a drop fr 52 to >100 in position was a indeed a great disappointment. CL was the culprit as he failed his compo coz wrote out of point. This has definitely dampered his spirit, that's y both of us lowered our expectation fr VS to Tanjong Katong. So hopefully he don't get anything less than 235.

Hi ttlkbs, T-score of >250 is very high! Think you need not be so pessimistic. Btw, what did your child write for his Chinese compo? If it’s not the open-ended one it should be quite safe that it won’t get out of point right?

He has nvr liked to write picture compo so in Prelim, as usual he chose 命题作文, then wrote out of point only got 8/40!
For the PSLE, for once he took our advise and wrote on the picture compo & was confident to pass this time coz he said he used a few idoms & creative phrases that he memorised. So let's pray hard for him! 🙏

That’s great! Lucky he didn’t choose the open-ended one as it is very easy to write out of point esp the topic given this year. How abt the rest of the subjects? Is he confident?

well, guess he didn’t want to reveal how much confidence he has & only gave me a very ‘safe’ prediction in case the same happen again like Prelim.

I think he’s tired of competition after 4yrs in the top 2 classes. He has been telling us that TK is his best choice! So, after so many months, i sort of convince by him & accepted his choice. So let’s hope he can make it to TK.

                PSLEmom:
Pls suggest some ways to spend the coming days fruitfully....Oct - Dec :?

How do we prepare our children for Secondary? or will the school take the responsibility??? 😉
I believe your child deserves a good break after PSLE. There's no need to prepare for secondary school. The schools will ease them in. The Sec 1 students I know have truly enjoyed their first year in secondary school with little or no stress.
