Chanced upon these lovely books at Greenridge, a small
stall (open table)... Lovely books need not come at a pricey
tag. These books are only SGD $2.80 per copy!!! 😄

I bought these for my girlfriend whose son has refused
to look at or touch his Peter & Jane series. He says he
does not like the P&J books. 😞 So, i'm hoping he will
love the nice and colourful illustrations in these ones.. 🙏
Easy sight words to introduce in them for early readers.

The stall lady says she will be there till
this Sunday, so it's while stocks last people!

        Heyya jedamum,

The \"I AM\" book has these sentences in it,
and useful for P1 written expression exposure. 😉

        Pg 1 > Hi! I am Michael.
Pg 2 > My mum and dad call me Mike.
Pg 3 > My friends call me Micky.
Pg 4 > I am six years old.
Pg 5 > I have one brother and one sister.
Pg 6 > I am tall and thin.
Pg 7 > I have thick, black hair.
Pg 8 > My eyes are big. My nose is high. My ears are sharp. My mouth is small.
        Pg 9 > I am a good boy.
Pg 10 > I sleep early and wake up early.
Pg 11 > I brush my teeth every morning and evening.
        Pg 12 > I have many toys.
Pg 13 > I take good care of my toys.
Pg 14 > I share my toys with my brother and my sister.
Pg 15 > I share my toys with my friends too.
Pg 16 > I love my family, my friends and my toys and they love me too.

I'm afraid not maltbibi, cos she's like the nomad seller.
Roams and wanders from week to week. Btw, your nick
sounds yummy... the malt part. Reminds me of those
Ovalteenies and Horlicks candies - 50 cents a small pack. 😉

PS : Dun think you have done your reporting to Newbies, maltbibi...

Ooooo... I LOVE those  . Got normal Horlicks ones (comes in a packet of 4 \"pills\"). Plain or chocolate. They don't produce it anymore, though. It's sad.

                    Hi,

You can get the books from Paragon 5th floor, opposite Oskosh.

I got this set of books for my son. Understand from the lady that lots of ppl buying these books.

I use book 1-myself to teach my son. Before i finish the sentence, he say out not through recognising the words but memory. Ater teaching him half of the book, i noticed that he don’t recognise the words at all. He simply memorise it.

I teach him a page a day, some pages have more new words, i then teach him a sentence or two a day.

I have stopped as he don’t seem interested. Likewise for Peter and Jane. I have stop for a month plus. May be i should try to encourage him to read again.

                      Don't give up, sweetie.

Your son is young and boys
                      are generally active and has
                      less concentration span. There
are other ways to introduce to
                      him reading skills. Books are
just one of the teaching aides.

You can try word cards or snap
cards with him too. So instead of
having to read he will think you're
playing a game with him. 😉
Thing is now try not to put him off
books. Yes, you are right. Children
                      need repetitive encouragement!

Thanks for your reference. Do you
have the name of the shop too? And
how much did you get the set for?

I couldn’t remember how much i bought them.

The shop will be moving somewhere within paragon building. Currently, it doesn’t has its own shop. Just outside oskosh.
