      Hi Sheryl

I have been using Electrolux front loader for the past 4yrs. Finds it user friendly and suits our needs. My mum used her old Electrolux for 10yrs+. I also heard front loader machine wash clothes cleaner and most importantly saves water.

For every cycle, I will press on the quick wash button to cut down the washing time. Instead of washing clothes for 2hrs, it can finished washing a full load within 1hr. Usually I would let my washer rest for 2hrs before I wash another load of clothing.

It has many functions, ranging from delicate clothes to curtains and also cold or warm wash.

I have been using front load for the past ten years primarily becoz of the claim that it uses less water than a top loader. Just changed to a samsung 6.5kg a few months. It has a quick wash of 29min option which I always use. Thus not true that a front load takes 1-2hrs. I hv no regrets getting this one.

          Hi All,

I'm looking for a new washing machine. Have been using top load all this while. However I read that front load wash clothes cleaner & save water. But washing cycle is long like 1-2 hours.

I like to ask those who are using front load machine how do you wash your clothes given the long washing cycle. Imagine 5 hours a day for washing clothes for a big family. What brand are you using for front load?
Not true for the washing cycle for my Electrolux front load Washer. There are a number of functions you can choose from. So you can opt for the fast wash - 30 minutes or for 1-2 hours wash for curtains and bed sheets.

            Hi,

Bosch has quick wash function too but was advised during home demo that itโ€™s not clean and to use the full-cycle.

The 1-hr full cycle is for half load (3kg) only. Hence for full load of 7kg and full cycle wash, the only option is 2.5hr.

Anyone used Bosch before, can share experience?

I will be getting a top load washing machine as my MIL dislike front load. Really like to try out front load as it cleans better & gentle on clothes & save water. Too badโ€ฆ Most probably will be getting a LG or Samsung. My LG has been with me for 10 yrs & no repair at all.

Iโ€™ve used a front load Bosch since we got our own place about 7 years ago. Yes, it can take very very very long, so I have to just time my washes accordingly. e.g. no doing laundry at 10pm (unless I choose the quick wash).

We use the quick wash (40mins) on our Bosch for regular/daily laundry; and only use the full cycle wash (about 2 hours) when washing bedsheets, towels and jeans.

I do not exactly know the difference between front load and top load washing machine. But I am using a top load washing machine for ages. I have been using my GE washing machine and I don't have any problem with it.
