:idea:Want to go RI:
Is 258 enough to get me into RI saying that COP drops by a few points?
You can try, but be prepared to be rejected.
If you are very keen to select RI as your first choice, you might also want to consider submitting an appeal to RI in advance so that when you are not selected (being lost marginally) but given the second choice, you could appeal to RI as you have already expressed your \"sincerity\" in this borderline case. Nevertheless, this is not a guarantee. Do visit the choice of school in your heart and talk to them to seek their advice. -

my daughter got 261+3 and has MGS DSA offer, she wants me to appeal to NYGS, how is the possibility of success by this score? any advise pls?thank you

Last year's official COP for NYGH was 263 (inclusive of HMT score). But I do not know what their policy for appeal is - whether you have to be way above the COP or not. I suppose you could try, especially if your dd has some other talent to offer aside from academics. -
hi, happy for those who did well. can see that this yr all those posting are those with good result.
my gal got 237. wat other sch can i choose beside CCHS.
yishun, amk, bishan area.
anyone can advise. -

Thank you! Would put NYGH as 1st choice but bit risky - can only try if lucky enough, reckon her score is more close to the COP of NJC/DHS. DHS campus is brand new, NJC campus is too old. DHS offer High Chinese where NJC don't. However some people say Junior colleague of NJC is better than DHS. Hard to decidethomasxu:
My daughter got 260+3, seems can try NJC or DHS, which one is better?

First of all, congratulations to your daughter for the achievement.
Just curious, why NYGH is not one of the choices? After all, NJC and NYGH are just next to each other. I don't think the +3 is applicable to NJC.
Anyway, do research thoroughly before making the decision. Cheers! -

Hi Jian Rong
Worth a try. Last year COP was 251, quite close to your son's result.ksfaith:
HI Anyone pls give me your view
Do you think i can try RVH. My son 247 plus HMT 1point 248.
Choosing Nanhua (Clementi Ave 1, near to NUS High) would be safer for 240s. Perhaps you can consider that. The benefit of that, if your son's results improve, he can apply into NUS High when he's in year 3.
Yea, i am thinking RV 1st choice 2nd choice Nan Hua. But i dont understand that when you say he can apply NUS High in year 3? meaning a normal transfer? And what is your opinion of NUS High? -
oliver2122:
The famous Qifa Primary's top scorer for this year is 270. There are 19 students with 250 and above. My child got a 258!
Well done! Congratulations!
 Your next challenge is to select the choices and rank them carefully like playing a chess game. Another fun begin.
