Mad-Eye Moody:
If X went to a school that is his first choice, then he realized in 2011 that he doesn't like it. Can X choose to go to his second choice school in 2011?
He can try provided there is vacancy in that school. And most probably there will be many pupils appealing as well. The school will usually ask the pupils to do a entrance test to determine which pupils to take in (shd there be vacancy). -

thnak u so much for the reply. I called up the school, they informed me that even girls with a score of 240 only have a slim chance of getting in. do u still think I should appeal? she was from contemp dance. SYF Silver.
Isn't TKGS very strong in dance? Your dd would like it there if so.
I believe it's possible to get into TKGS though your daughter's score is only a point higher than the cut-off point. But if she really wants to get into Cedar, maybe she can try appealing?VitaminsRock:
my daughter got a T score 0f 234. she was very disappointed as she expected to get into Cedar. cedar is definitely not an option now. what other schools do you suggest we consider?
some schools in my mind: TKGS, CHIJ TP, Tanjong Katong Sec, CHIJ Katong.
is it possible for her to get into tkgs? their COP is 233.
thanks in advance -

Hai Sing's COP is closer to your child's but then again, no guarantee that it would drop 5 points. Oops, sorry, just my humble opinion. Hope I am not coming across as being very dampening.wat abt Hai Sing Cat ? with 219 any chance ?
Anyone knows abt Damai Sec ?
Seems like you are targetting Mission Schools, how about Holy Innocents, St Gabriel's. -
sporemum:
Tkgs is a gd choice - well my elder one is in that sch! If u dont mind 'chinese' schools, then Nan Chiau can be considered. I actually like Nan Chiau as the cut off may be abt 231 but the school manage to clinch Band 1.[/quoteboredtodeath:

Hi, anyone has any ideas what is the minimum score to enrol for Dunman high. My daughter has 261 and not sure whatever it is risky to apply since last year COP is 259 and mean score is 261.
personally, my girl has a better chance for Cedar girl. please help to resolve my predicament. -
25hourmaid:
I understand that there is a string of decimals which is not made known to us. So chances of many having the same aggregate may not be high
Yes.NotKiasuEnough:
If there are two students (A & B) with the same score, student A chooses school X as 1st choice and student B chooses school X as 2nd choice.
Does that mean student A will be accepted first?

I am not very familiar with the schools you mentioned, but based on last year's COP for the schools you mentioned, chances of getting into any of them is quite high since your child's T-score is higher than those schools. -
