I have a friend who got 212 for psle. Any schools near the East side to recommend for him? :?

Is bedok town a good school?

May be you can consider Bedok Green, COP 209.

how high are the chances?? 25hoursmaid pls help

        Aiyo, another one!

Okay, I am not very familiar with the schools that you have selected because I am in North East, but all I know is that NH is a good school but not sure about the rest. No, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that they are not good schools, but it's just that I am no familiar with them enough to give my comments.

The COP is just a guide. It can go up and it can also go down every year, based on the cohort's results and the number of students trying to get into a particular school. There is no guarantee that with such and such a T-score, entry is guaranteed, so it is very hard for us to gauge one's chance of getting into a particular school until the posting results are out.

From past experience, there have been schools whose COP dropped from 246 to 238 in one year (CHIJ Toa Payoh as an eg) and there have also been schools whose COPs went up by one or two points from previous year's, so nobody can guarantee anything.

My advice to you is to put NH as your first choice by all means and hope for the best. 🙏 But make sure your second choice is a \"secure\" choice, so exercise your choice wisely.

If your child gets into NH, assuming a drop of 3 points from last year, well and good, and :celebrate:, but if no, it is not the end of the world. Try appealing after the posting is out and if that fails, you probably have to accept it and move on and be happy in the school that you were posted to, so to sum up, my advice is to put NH as 1st choice and choose wisely for your 2nd and 3rd choices.

        :celebrate:
My aggregate is 236+3. I have some different choices of school. can anybody advise me the best arrangements of these schools. I would like to put Nan Hua as first choice(appeal).

          Nan Hua , Swiss Cottage , Commonwealth , Fu Hua :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

for me i'll put as nan hua, commonwealth, swiss, fu hua.
i know nan hua is a good sch follow by commonwealth in west side.

how high are the chances?? 25hoursmaid pls help
Sorry i don't mean to be a damper. seems 239 is quite far from nan hua min COP.

4 schools come to my mind namely: Cedar, SCGS, ST.Nicks and MGS. Each school has its own peculiar prog to groom their top performers. Generally, their competitive merits are really close.

Suggest you consider ccas, distance and yr dd’s keeness to develop her lang skills. These will make your choices clearer.

If you are happy, it’s good.

If you are not happy, it’s no good.

Can anybody clarify with me Why the table G-1 on the booklet does not include all sch? There are only 66 schools on that list, but there are totally 160+ schools, I understand there are some IP schools should be excluded, but still meet that gap. Thanks.

I need to know the Band level for the target school.
