I am interested in putting my child in Pat’s Schoolhouse @Siglap branch. There has been a lot of good reviews on Pat’s Halifax branch but I could not find any info on the Siglap branch.

Infact I read some mixed review comments from some other sites and hence a bit confused.

Can someone be kind enough to share his/her experience for Pat’s@Siglap.

Does anyone send their kids to Pat's @ Arena? How's the Principal Merlinda Quek? Are they good with kids who have some speech delay and generally more distractible than other children?

Both my children are in the school. The Principal Mel is pretty new (less than a year here) but there is another Chinese Principal (as in she was a chinese teacher in other branches before) who has just came back from Chicago and has resumed her duties recently. Frankly I had a little issue with Mel so I’m glad tt the chinese principal is back. You can pm me if you are keen to find out more.

As for kids with speech delay, what kind of delay are you referring to? Is it a condition that require special treatment or just that your child is slower in speech because my younger child is much slower in his speech development, he is turning 3 but has started to speak in phrases and sentences (albeit not always clearly) recently. He has sort of skipped the one word stage. I was really worried about him beforehand.

From my experience, Pat’s schoolhouse’s teachers are mostly patient and my other child has a classmate who is quite Hyperactive and took a longer time to adjust when he first joined but has developed quite well in the past few years.

However, I do find the bus fees very expensive. Imagine, 1 way from Arena to cck cost 160 !!! kind of too much.

I heard that Pat’s would be opening a new branch at Whitley and I am interested in sending dd there.

Can anyone tell me if Pat’s is a franchise and if standards are the same in all branches?

Also, I would like to find out more about Arena branch’s principal Mel, as I found out that she would be transferred to head the Whitley branch.
