hello, i got 4 a* and 265. living in the east.
do any of u know which is better:
CEDAR or CRESCENT??? my 2nd choice is one of them(incase i dont get 1st choice rgs), depending on which is better, so plss help me!!! -

You are wasting Choice no 2. Firstly he should get in to HCI - no problem. Secondly if he doesn't get in to HCI coz it's full, RI would also be full. So you are actually wasting Choice 2. You have to decide as Choice No 1 either HCI or RI.My son got 261 but he did not take Higher Chinese though he got A* in Chinese. What is his chances to get to Hwa Chong?
His choices are as follows:(we are in the west)
1) Hwa Chong
2) Raffles Institution
3) NJC
4) River Valley
5) Nan Hua
6)Bt Panjang High School. -

Last year COP of Hwa Chong=257, does it includes the merit point from Higher Chinese? What is the COP for those without HMT ?

dunman high SAP school, but i cant apply for sap school as i not chinese(taking mt as NTIL(hindi)) but i worried about cedar as its is a sporty school and im not very inclined to sports.

The COP is 257. Meaning if you didn't take HCL, you would have to score at least 257 to get into HCI last year. If you did take HCL, then your score would have had to be at least 256+1, 255+2 or 254+3.

I was looking thru PLMGSS's website and their dance team has clinched a Gold with Honours award in 2009. So your dd's ballet achievements can be an added advantage.
As for TKGS, it's a risk to put it as a choice as last yr COP was 233.
Anyhow, I think the best is to call up these 2 schools to enquire more.

Check out this forum above. We havent apply for the school yet but do you think we should try this option out? Also, since this school PLMGSS is a goverment aided school. How much would the school fees be?
