          Hi TAS,

Thank you for Survivor 2010. My kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves even though they had to walk the whole time at Botanic Gardens, this is no small feat as they do not like to walk much especially in non-air conditioned places.

They kept talking about the venus flytrap and the Survivor challenge as well.

Just want to check something: At the end, one of your staff passed me a flyer for some science toy making programme during christmas. I want to bring my niece and nephew along as well as I feel they can learn about science in an interesting way. Is that possible? And do I call Yvonne for that?

              Hi TAS,

I have heard about this programme - Write a book and Spelling Bee. Am I too late to join? Is it available for non-tas children?

If we have attended your holiday programme recently but not your regular programmes yet, we are still considered non-tas right?
              Hi smurfette3,

Non-TAS children can join our community programmes. Our
community programmes are held at Heart of God church. We provide
the educational activities for their children's services as our founder is
also from the same church and this is one way we want to give back to
              the community.

The Spelling Bee is on till this year. Write a Book will be
next year. However, only those who do well for our
assessment for Write a Book will be selected for this programme.
For others who do not make it for this programme, there is
              another programme-Word Wizard- for them.

Word Wizard focus on using mnemonics to help children learn
vocabulary and there are also creative writing phrases provided
that can help them in their writing.

You can call us or email us to make a reservation. We will be closed
from 18 December 20101 to 2 January 2011. You can still contact
us through email during this period.

                Hi LadyBug3,

Thanks for your feedback šŸ˜‰ We enjoyed the trip with the
                children too.

For the Science Toy making programme, it is a programme
under our community service programme and it is held
at Heart of God church, we will be providing the
science educational activities for their Christmas programme.

You can call Yvonne or call us at 67588744 or 90615592 to
inquire about these programmes. For our community
service programmes, non-TAS children can come too so
you can bring your nephew and niece along.

                    Hi TAS,

Can I find out more about this science toy making activitiy?
Hi littlewoman, buds and parents who want to know more about our
                    Science Toy Making programme,

This programme is part of our community service programme arm.
Our community service programmes are held at Heart of God
church. We believe in giving back to the community and hence
we provide both English and Science educational activities for
free for Heart of God children's church programme. Our founder is
from this church and hence we provide these activities for their
children's programme. These activities are open to non-TAS and
non Heart of God church members as well.

This Science Toy making activity compromises of a few science
                    activities:

                    1) Science Toy Making (concept: Elastic Potential Energy)
                    - The children will get to see how certain toys make use of
the concept of Elastic Potential Energy to propel the toys
upwards and forward and they will make their own
toys based on these concepts after that. They will also
get to bring home a Science Toy after that.

                    2) Ice-cream making (concept: salt lowers freezing
                    point of water)

-The children will make their own ice-cream and we will
teach them how science is used to help ice-cream form.

                    3) Instant snow making (concept: how a special polymer can make
                    what seems like snow form)

                    - The children will get to touch and feel this instant 'snow'

There will be games and character building lessons using bible
stories which are provided by Heart of God church. We are only
                    responsible for the educational activities.

                    Time: 2-4 pm/5-7 pm

                    Date: 25 December (Saturday)

Venue: Paya Lebar Singapore Post at Heart of God church, not
to be confused with our East branch. The East branch is nearer
Delifrance, Heart of God church is nearer Coffeebean.

                    OR

                    Time: 4.30 pm - 7pm

                    Date: 24 December (Friday)

Venue: Our Yishun centre (we will provide the educational activities and
there will be games and a character building lesson organized by
volunteers from Heart of God church that will be held there, we also
organize our community service programmes there as we do not want
our Yishun kids to lose out on having them, we are unable to carry
out similar activities at Bukit Timah as we do not have enough
                    manpower)

If you want to reserve a place for your child, you can call us or email us.

                      Hi TAS,

When is registration for the next camp (community prog)? I heard quite a number of people joined so I am afraid if I wait till next year May or April to sign up, it might be too late. Could the registration start sometime in Jan? I know this is super kiasu but my kids really like your programmes and they learnt a lot so I must make sure I chop places first.
                      Hi Laurenwkids,

Our earliest registration should be around February or March. We will
get back to you on this.

                        Hi TAS,

I want to sign my child up for your classes but I am not sure about

the next year's class schedule in school. However, if I wait till

next year, would it be too late? I heard from your admin person that

some of the classes are full already. Can I pay the deposit and see if I can

fit into the classes next year when the class schedule is out? But

if the schedule clashes in the end, could I withdraw and take out

                        my deposit?
                        Hi FNg,

Sure, you can pay for the registration fee and book a tentative
class timing for your child but if in the end, you want to
withdraw, I'm afraid we cannot give you back the registration
fee. Perhaps you could email or call us to let us know
which class timing you are interested in and confirm with us the slot
the earliest you can by next January?
