NYGH 263 too high lah, but possible becos they can \"kelong\" by letting in more of their affliate school students in, and thus reducing the S1 positing places.

RGS have to drop lah, the stock of 260s girls students should theorectically be lesser than last year.

Actually, I do not think the stock of 260s girls (or kids) has dropped this year compared with last year. The stock of 270s and above kids have dropped, but more has gotten into the 260s range.

Reason why I said so: EESIS scholarship this year is still at the 260 cut-off mark. My fren's son at 259 missed that scholarship. It's no different from last year.

I thought last year's EESIS COP was 261? Besides, the size of the cohort this year is 3000+ less than last year. Hence absolute number of students who scored above 260 is less than last year?

Although there are 3000 less kids, the nature of 2010 PSLE exams may have created a situation where (IMHO) the stock of scorers between range of 250+ to 265s has increased significantly as the no of T-score above 270S have decreased.

This means more competitions for all the the favourite schools. I suspect the COP will move up at least 2 or 3 points from last year.

NUSH COP for Post S1-Posting has moved from 257 to 264. This is 1 indicator.

affiliated students if scored below 250 has no chance at all, it is a fixed COP for the NYPS girls

so given a normal distribution but a smaller cohort - hence less girls, whether targeting NYGH or RGS
