French or German? Which language is more useful?

Hi would like to have opinions of ksparents of which language is more useful French or German..

depends upon where you live or are planning to live . . .

otherwise both are useless

I know of students who took German and did so well that they obtained scholarships to do undergraduate studies in German Unis, that is, the medium of instruction is in GERMAN.
I am not aware if there are scholars studying in French Unis though. -
French more useful for humanities; German more useful for sciences.
German is easier to read; French is easier to speak ā or so people tell me. -
