No, our school's not well maintained at all (rolls eyes). The construction works took our field and we're having assembly at a confined space for 5 months :@

Thats for the new MRT line. So bear with it and can enjoy MRT in future. šŸ˜„

that is actually construction of campus extension in NJC

MRT is on HCI side of the canal

          That's because of other reasons.

NJC is boring. They mug everyday, during recess nobody eats, everyone just sits down and reads. They have lectures tat are twice as fast as other schools--from what I've heard. The school is extremely focused on results only, leaving no time for a fun school experience. Furthermore, the school rules are ridiculous. You can't wear black shoes!! While running along Bukit Timah Rd for HC's stupid PE lessons, I spotted my friend waiing for the bus. She told me the DM made her go home and change her shoes. I was so shocked!! If almost all the other JCs accept coloured shoes, why not NJC? In addition, NJC uniform sucks. My NJ friends all complain about the hot shorts, the red pe shirt and grey elephant like uniform. VJ's uniform is prettier šŸ™‚

I am sorry but I fine that very insulting as I have chosen NJC as my school of choice. I think every school has their merit and demerits points so it is not fair to compare or even talk rot about other schools. I hope you will respect NJC more :x

the campus is a S**T-HOLE . During the lectures, they turn on the air cons only after we've filled the entire theatre, and by the time it starts to get cooler, we wouldve already been stifled to death. the classrooms i like to point out, are like jail cells, youll know it when youre in there.. suffering. And the fans are sooooo weak.. the school probably modified them or something to save costs. the result: profuse sweating. The canteen kinda sucks too. Cramped, very cramped, a scarcity of fans, there isnt really any food stall worth commending etc etc.. The library, i believe, is the mugging sanctuary, so all the school has placed in there are boring plastic chairs and tables. No sofas, no tv, no relaxation corner, NOTHING! Probably a devious scheme by the school to force students into the cult of mugging. There are many many many many many more of these horrors which you will find in NJC, just come visit us šŸ™‚

Then, there is the Red Queen. Her words are venomous. Her stare, piercingand abhorring. Her demeanor, (i dont really know). She probably is the most sarcastic and hypocritical person in the school, you will know when you meet her. She heads all, she is the red queen.

HOWEVER, the people there are lovely, i can vouch. Maybe except for some of those lunatics who just cant seem to stop studying for once and know
what its like to have a life.
May I ask then, why did u choose this school that u abhorr so much? šŸ˜›

I agree. Without construction, how can there be improvements to the school? Extra space does not appear magically cuz you ask for it, right? To all those people who complain: are your brains fried???? šŸ˜ž

Proud of njc? As a student i can ascertain that at least half of the student population absolutely abhors this school. It's more than just the rules if you must know. The abhorrences are well disguised. This said, realization would have come a moment too late.
Then why in the world do you stay in NJC?! You can always apply to go to another school!

During my time, I also had to choose between NJC and VJC. In the end, I chose VJC given its physical environment. VJC has brighter and cooler classrooms, very conducive for learning. The school building was very new and it was so close to East Coast Park. (We went canoeing for our PE lessons! It was real fun.)

Most importantly, I was impressed with the students there - people who worked hard and played very hard too.
                  šŸ™‚

                  Hope this helps.
