Hi skywalker28 n ttlkbs, my DS told me that this year's sec 1 intake in TKSS is less. Each class about 35-40 students and only 7 classes compared to his year where there are 8 classes for his standard.

      Is that right?
My DS ask if it is because there are less people giving birth in the year of the tiger? Hahaha.....
There are 7 classess + 1 class of DSA students. He's right coz 1998 birth rate is low.
DS is lucky to have friends fr same pri sch in same class this year.
skywalker28, my son is in 1B.

Actually i am thankful to the HOD of CCA cos initially my DS wanted a non uniformed group CCA but the HOD persuaded him to join a uniform group in addition to the non uniform group, and explained to me patiently that with uniform group, there is a chance to get a better score. He told me to let DS try out for a month and if he really dislikes it, he can drop it. However he added that so far no student has backed out, and true enough, my DS is still in the CCA and enjoying himself! ๐Ÿ˜„

HOD of CCA is Mr Clarance, right? Quite young. I have done my homework b4 attending the CCA recruitment exercise. TKSS is not strong in sports, hence not much chance to get good grade for CCA, same for clubs & societies. UGs/Band/Choir have better chances, especially choir & band.

            Yup... that's the man!
He looks youthful and friendly, the type that teenagers would be able to communicate comfortably. I think most teachers there are like that ๐Ÿ˜„ .

He has a very attractive voice! I also noticed that most of the teachers are very young & majority are ladies! ๐Ÿ˜‰

At times, I find chinese is a little dumb - controlled by these 12 animals in giving birth. I suppose this year of the rabbit will have a higher birth rate, most wanting a 'labbit' girl, ie soft, sweet and demure (just like the animal) [boy, they ain't seen the rabbit the rear for MEAT yet] .... and tiger girl is no good = angry woman = cannot be 'married off', but tiger guy is ok..... and worst - dragon..... where there will be MORE classes every 12 year cycle - and this batch will compete with each other when they graduate... haiz....

1B - cool, can get them to link up ๐Ÿ™‚

So, submitted the CCA form yesterday & DS chose NCC (Land) as 1st and Band as 2nd. What is your DS's decision on the CCA?

my son is assigned to band as his cca eventhough he puts on 4th choice.

he put NCC Land as 1st choice but didnt get in.
we had no idea that even 4th choice is taken for.
my son is not in the music background. We appealed but rejectedโ€ฆ
                        what should we do?
i worry he canโ€™t catch up with the band as he has no music instrument background at allโ€ฆ
                        helppppp
