Does anyone knows how are the kids being allocated into the different consortiums. Is there any difference between each of the consortium?

Actually this is a very interesting question which I would like to find out....I supposed for me, it is not so much about how they place the students into each consortium (so it is fixed), but rather....what are the different in activities or curriculum or???

        :?

This is a question parents have been asking year over year. The standard answer is except Ispark, the rest are allocated randomly. I believe it may be true as for my DS' last year Aphelion class, they have PSLE T-score range from 245 (DSAed) to 27+. Curriculum should be about the same as they take common test papers at year end.
From what I observed of the info from HCI site (which I think needs major revamp), different consortium do engage in different activities.

Of course I am still not able to see what are the different focus for the diff consortium.

            ptnttsg:

I know kids in maintream who score above 265 are invited into ispark and you are allow to reject the invitation. My 2 friends' ds rejected the ispark invitation.
Was told the consideration was based on GAT score or the kids were previously selected for GEP at P3 but did not take up the offer. Know of people who got 255+2 and got into ispark due to GAT at DSA. And also know of a kid with t-score above 265 (exclude HCL) but not invited. Where did get this info from? Yes, it is just like P3 GEP screening, the kids who are selected can reject the offer. Similarly, was told there are parents who appeal to put kid in ispark but were turned down.

total Pr GEP based on what the admission briefing said is about 170, divided into 7 classes, of about 24 or 25 thereabout per class, then topped up with mainstream high scorers to make it around 30....some classes still less than 30 though

I tot total gepers is only about 500 per year? If so, assuming 50% of them are boys =250. 170 is ALOT!
