Happy New Year! Just wanted to share, my gal is in P1 this year and I am pleased with the arrangement that the school has made. I feel so relieve to see that my gal adjusting to the new school. I have to recognise that the school has been really sensitive to P1 pupils in school and I look forward to more from them 😄

QQFren, good to hear that. Noticed from the Principal’s letter that there’ll be no SA1 & SA2 exams for P1 this year - only holistic assessments.

That is true. There will only be holistic assessment. Today is the 1st day for my gal to buy from canteen. She is happy with her experience today 🙂

My son also seems quite well adjusted after the 1st week in school. He's not too good about buying food though, no $$ concept still... >.<

QQFren, which class in your daughter in? 🙂
                My son's in 1F.

Ya the kids there are well taken care of. Pass by during sch end and there were principal, teachers, office staffs to ensure the kids safety. Many Thanks to them for their effort.

                      Hi mommies,

Anyone do Voluntary work to secure a place even though this is a neighbourhood school?

I did not do volunteering work and we are lucky to get in.

Previously, only more than 1km needs balloting. But starting last year’s enrolment (for P1 this year) is the first time where students within 1km needs to go for balloting. Thus I believe you may need to do volunteering work to have a better chance into the school.
