Hi, Iβm a first-timer here with my eldest in SJJ P1 this year. Iβm so confused with those abbrevation they used in their time-table. Could someone tell me what does CONT TIME on every Wed 1pm-1.30pm is?
Besides a chinese teacher, does their form teacher teaches every thing else including AC,MU,PE, EL, MA, all the same teacher?
Thanks. -
Hi happy to be mum,
Did u go for the HYPY workshop. I think it's very good, at least I can teach my boy now.haha. Clear some of the doubts. :celebrate:
Just curious, Where were u sitting?
-
hi smurf
yes i went and i am glad i went, to refresh my HYPY and I think the Chinese teachers are great! i will be going for the 19th feb workshop too, this time we arrange to meet k!
btw to all parents out here,
MOE has a website for your kids for Chinese, it is at http://xuele.edumall.sg it is an interactive free website from MOE for your child to revise their Chinese (contents are from their Chinese textbooks). I think it is good for P1 kids cause kids being kids love pc
i won't know of this website till i went for the workshop

hi lynnchng
i am also not too sure what does CONT TIME stand for but during the hour 1.00 to 1.30pm there is no class cause class only start at 1.30pm on Wed.
i believe the form teacher takes care of all subjects, it seem to be
except MT -
I tried to access the website, but I think they have not implemented it yet? Or maybe I using iPad, so cannot access? :?
Yup yup, let's meet up! Would be great! Hee...
For the HYPY, i thought it's easy, but after going for the workshop, I think I still have a lot to learn! Haha...
The Chinese teachers are quite good, I think they have tried hard to push the Chinese standard to a higher level... :celebrate:
Some of the parents suggestions are very good. I was going to suggest playing Chinese music or San zi jing in the canteen during waiting time or recess time. Even if the kids dun speak, at least they can listen. Haha... -

Hi Mummies,
Thanks for your reply.
I heard that teacher cancelled PE lessons as punishment to the kids. Does that happen to your sonβs class? Goodness, i find without PE, kids will find that school is not fun anymore. 1 week 3 PE lessons but usually its just 1 lesson or 2 the most. Really wonder why? -
hi lynnchng
i also realized at times my boy is not having PE lessons though time table stated so and also i am confused now as whether this semseter, are they going to have Arts or not? My boy came back ytd telling me he needs to have his arts book on thurs?? I have already submitted the book to school as they have earlier requested for it.
now i have lost track of what books i have given to school :? -
happy to be mum:
I have the same problem. My son came home and told me he needs the art book as well. And at times when there is supposed to be PE, he is still in his school uniform and when I asked him why, he tells me \"no time today\", \"raining\", \"we were too noisy so no PE\"hi lynnchng
