So, submitted the CCA form yesterday & DS chose NCC (Land) as 1st and Band as 2nd. What is your DS's decision on the CCA?

my son is assigned to band as his cca eventhough he puts on 4th choice.

he put NCC Land as 1st choice but didnt get in.
we had no idea that even 4th choice is taken for.
my son is not in the music background. We appealed but rejected…
what should we do?
i worry he can’t catch up with the band as he has no music instrument background at all…

That's strange........
Go speak to the HOD of CCA, Clarence Tam.
If your son has no interest in band at all, then it may be better not to join the CCA.
Wow, i did not know that NCC land is so popular this year.
Maybe he would like to consider other uniformed group CCA and appeal.

My son posted to band too as he said he missed the audition for NCC (land) which was conducted before we submitted the form. Anyway he has no objection so I’ll just leave it to be. Don’t worry too much about no music background, as long as he likes music should be able to pick up very first. I only worry about the 3x practices per week.

He wants all d students to try the cca assigned to them at least till end of March.
I worry abt the 3x practice in a week too
The sat practice will be from 9 to 630 pm!!
How to have family time during weekend ?
My son misses the audition for ncc land too as he was in oversea buy informed Mr Lawrence Lim n was told it is ok as long we put ncc land as first choice he would get in . I was shocked when the news came to me my son was put into band....

If you and your son really don’t want band, then decide on another uniform group and insist on the change.
Perhaps, NCC land has no more space. What about other uniform group?

I myself not really object on the band choice except worry abt the frequency of the practice ...:(

Hi, DS is in 1B. Yes, I am gg to the TK1 nite next Sat. Shall we meet? DS actually wanted to put Band as 1st choice coz he doesn't quite like those training in NCC (land) but i told him abt the 3x practises per week so he changed his mind. In the end still ganna posted to band so it is really \"注定\"!

I stay rather near TKSS and the training near competition really scary..

Almost daily, and in the rain too.. ...Guess that's why their band has been one of the top ones for awhile..
