At times, I find chinese is a little dumb - controlled by these 12 animals in giving birth. I suppose this year of the rabbit will have a higher birth rate, most wanting a 'labbit' girl, ie soft, sweet and demure (just like the animal) [boy, they ain't seen the rabbit the rear for MEAT yet] .... and tiger girl is no good = angry woman = cannot be 'married off', but tiger guy is ok..... and worst - dragon..... where there will be MORE classes every 12 year cycle - and this batch will compete with each other when they graduate... haiz....ttlkbs:
There are 7 classess + 1 class of DSA students. He's right coz 1998 birth rate is low.
DS is lucky to have friends fr same pri sch in same class this year.

So, submitted the CCA form yesterday & DS chose NCC (Land) as 1st and Band as 2nd. What is your DS's decision on the CCA?

my son is assigned to band as his cca eventhough he puts on 4th choice.
he put NCC Land as 1st choice but didnt get in.
we had no idea that even 4th choice is taken for.
my son is not in the music background. We appealed but rejected…
what should we do?
i worry he can’t catch up with the band as he has no music instrument background at all…

Go speak to the HOD of CCA, Clarence Tam.
If your son has no interest in band at all, then it may be better not to join the CCA.
Wow, i did not know that NCC land is so popular this year.
Maybe he would like to consider other uniformed group CCA and appeal. -
My son posted to band too as he said he missed the audition for NCC (land) which was conducted before we submitted the form. Anyway he has no objection so I’ll just leave it to be. Don’t worry too much about no music background, as long as he likes music should be able to pick up very first. I only worry about the 3x practices per week.

How to have family time during weekend ?
My son misses the audition for ncc land too as he was in oversea buy informed Mr Lawrence Lim n was told it is ok as long we put ncc land as first choice he would get in . I was shocked when the news came to me my son was put into band....

If you and your son really don’t want band, then decide on another uniform group and insist on the change.
Perhaps, NCC land has no more space. What about other uniform group? -
According to my son all other UGs are full too:(
I myself not really object on the band choice except worry abt the frequency of the practice ...:( -
