If after the trial, a CCA want you and you want the CCA who want you also. Shouldn't it be a direct entry to simplify the process? But why is there a need to submit option still? :? After the option phrase, you might be given another CCA and need to appeal ... can someone enlighten me?

This is bcos the so called \"elite\" CCAs have the priority over the not-so-elite CCAs and your wish. For example, my DS was told by one CCA that he was \"in\" if he put that CCA as first choice, which he did. But the result was he was \"hijack\" by Waterpolo which was actually his 5th choice (at that time he tot sure no chance so he put it at lower rank). Of cos he was over the moon for the unexpected end result.

That is why the saying: in secondary schools, it is the CCA that chooses you rather than you choose the CCA.

If the CCA never fall in one of your choice, can they \"hijack\" you? Can don't accept if \"hijack\"?

Yes they can. One of my DS's friends didn't put band as any of his choices (he is sick of band after 6 years in primary school) but bcos his CCA in primary school was band, he got into it. So it is really at schools' mercy....

To add on my comment...yes you can appeal but the success rate is very low unless the CCA that you want to go is willing to back you up, or you have some medical reasons. We also found out more later about the allocation of CCA is that if two equally \"elite\" CCAs want a same student, the two CCAs will send their representative seniors to meet up and \"fight\" for that student. Whoever win takes the student (regardless of your rank of choice). Don't ask me how they \"fight\" bcos I don't know.
