Just managed to get hold of Molin. Their price for 12 lesson (1 term) is 224.70.

Any idea how much Tien Hsia is charging for Nursery level? as they are close for the CNY…

Personally, I prefer Singaporean Chinese teacher. They are more results focussed. This is based on my experienced. I have had both SG and China teachers for my son. I find the China teachers provide alot extras which tho good but I find not very relevant. My son previous tutor was from SG and she is very exam focus. Unfortunately with the new year, she have to resign because of personal scheduling challenge.

          hi

my suggestion is to sit in at least for the first few lessons (esp for nursery - K1 level since the child might be too young to assess if the class is any good). So if you can sit in for a few lessons, you will be able to assess if the lesson structure is beneficial to your child or not. Sometimes you will be surprised with what you see 🙂

Personally I think it's not enough to have enrichment once a week if you don't speak any Chinese at home.

My boy is now attending enrichment but I'm prob going to start him on Ch tuition as I feel it's not helping him enough. My nephews have Ch tuition twice a week and during school hols, 3 times a week!! Good thing they like their tutor as she's quite young and knows how to make the lessons fun.

I was told it helps to expose kids to foreign language at a younger age as they can absorb it faster. Hubby and I are trying for 2nd kid now and we're thinking of choosing a school with a strong Ch programme. V kiasu! Baby not even made yet!! 😛

Anyway I've been doing some research and apparently quite a few schools/childcare centres are doing 1/2 day lessons in English and 1/2 day in Chinese. I think that's more effective. I know many others just have 30min or 45min Ch lesson per day.

Many of my friends are also worried about their kids' Chinese! Prob that's why schools like Nanyang kindy have such a long queue!

                  Hi parents,

I recently bought some learning materials from Yuquan, where my ds is attending some enrichment classes. One of them was highly recommended by Principal Song to use at home with my younger dd (i think their teachers are using these kits in their YiTong class) - so I bought a few sets but later realised that I don’t have time to do so many of the activities with my child! Hence am selling some of these kits as each set comes with 6 kits inside and I definitely don’t have the time or energy to complete so many of them!! Ha ha

The kits are of very good quality; Each kit comes with (1) Activity Book (2) Timetable (3) Activity cards (4) Parents’ Guide Book (5) Beautifully illustrated story book and (5) Children’s cartoon VCD.

The idea is for you to follow the activities in the Parents’ Guide Book and use the other items in the kit to engage your child on a daily basis. The set I have is for 2-3 years old, though I noticed that the standard is quite high so you can definitely also use it for 3-4 years old…

These kits are not available anywhere else in Singapore; it’s a good chance for you to buy one or two to try out at home with your child, since buying the whole set from Yuquan will be very costly (about $150+GST) and you don’t normally have the chance to just get 1 or 2 kits at a lower price.

I’m selling each kit for only $28; some kits don’t have storybooks so they are only $22 🙂

If you are interested, pls send me a PM. Thanks!! 🙂

(Photos to follow after this post 🙂

Introduction in one of the parent guide book, where (I think) this says that the earlier you start your child's learning journey at home, the faster the progress in your child's health and intelligence (something along those lines ^_^)

Sorry I don't have time to take photo of every single book & item in every single kit... If you're interested just tell me randomly which kit number you want (1-6) - and when you come collect from me you are free to browse through all the kits to see which one you prefer okay?? Thanks alot

Please PM me if you are interested - I am in central part of Singapore, near Dhoby Ghaut MRT... Thanks!!
