I am looking for a school in the east, thinking of Maha Bodhi, but it does not accept PV, only members of SBF. Anyone knows if I register as a SBF member now, can I get my girl to register for 2010 P1?

I tried to call up SBF for a friend and they said they don't accept members anymore. But I happened to chance upon SBF website last week and there was this membership thing (eg. $100 for registration and $100 for annual fees). Not sure if this works.

Managed by the 9th Term’s Management Council, the main sources of income for the Foundation are membership subscription fees and donations from members and the public. Presently, a new member pays $100 as membership entrance fee. The annual membership fee is also $100.

          Hi zero118IS,

Sorry for asking, but are you sure you want to join organizations that you don’t initially have a part in just to let your child get into the school? I’ve heard of a school that removed that as a privilege a year or two back and the a parent I know was so devastated. Not convenient to mention which one, but there are only that many such schools in singapore you can go and find out.

          Just being concerned…

so it means that I must try to get into the PV?

So which primary is better, Raffles Girls Sch or Nanyang Pri Sch

let me throw you another consideration.

Raffles Girls is a GIRL only school, Nanyang is a mixed school.
Less \"competition\" for that exculsive primary 1 space?

Hi, anyone got any experience being a PV at Rulang Primary School? Do you know what type of volunteer work they are more interested in?

I’m thinking of being a PV at Rulang Primary school.

                    Thanks.

just got the acceptance to PV with SVPS. looking fwd to it.

for my case, if my child got in for P1, i'll be interested to join the Parent Support grp cos I like to be involved as much as possible with e sch so I know wat's going on. but then again, when the times come...i'll c if time permits.
                      Has just checked MOE website.
At end of phase 1, almost 50% taken up at SVPS...
Hence after phase2A(about 60 based on past years), likely to see only left about 50plus vacancies for phase 2B.

Seems that most likely phase2B balloting for this yr.

                        hi Im new here.

My initial idea is to send my son to a neighbourhood school but changed my mind recently. I would like to apply for Kong Hwa which is about 1.5 km from my place.

He is due for registration in 2010. I would like to be a parent volunteer but i missed the date as the official period is from 1st July to 30th june. Is MOE very strict on the date? or any way to get around it?
