Yes, is there anyone who knows about this? Maybe i can attach an authorisation form to the withdrawal form? ( Get it from school when I register ) Is there anyone who had one leg in one sch and the other in another sch becos husband couldnt make it?
My colleague is registering for his friend this year becoz hie friend is out of town. He has a proxy letter from his friend which would allow him to register on his behalf.RRMummy:
.I will have to keep track of so many things...Best part, hubby wont be in town! :faint:
:scared: Wow! Can imagine the stress level... don't :faint: ok..Little_Princesses_LnK:
maybe you can call up MOE to find out if your SIL can help for withdrawal... ..and hopefully someone here with similar experience can share..Thinking of filling up withdrawal form first for Sch A, get my SIL to wait there for my call. If I decide to drop SCh A, can she just hand in the completed form for me?
Good luck! :xedfingers:
I am not sure whether MOE allows this since only one parent is out of town for your case. Safest way is to check with MOE, and with the school as well. And yes, pls fill in the withdrawal form with all the signatures required earlier. You would be so nervous by then to fill in anything. -

Oh ya, blur me... phases run in sequence! So I can do this:

Ok let's see if I can explain my intentions here... Since MGS does not accept PV so I guess I will be under Phase 2c right (I live 1-2km away)? I will register and go through balloting. I am just thinking IF I do not get a place in MGS what will be a good 2nd backup to register? St Anthony or Keeming? Once it's decided which, I can go do PV now or next year so I fall under Phase 2B right, thereby increasing my chances? Or am I wrong... I also blur :?:
i am assuming that you are NOT going to register in Phase 2B under Church affiliations.
Phase 2B registration precedes Phase 2C. So if you fail in getting a seat in MGS Phase 2C, you cannot go back to use pv's privilege under Phase 2B for registration in either Keming or St Anthony cos Phase 2B is already over.
You can however, register in Keming or St Anthony first in Phase 2B, then when its phase 2C's registration day, monitor the probability of success rate in MGS. Then by the last day of Phase 2C registration, to decide if you want to withdraw from Keming/St Anthony (which you had register in Phase 2B) to have a chance at balloting in MGS. In this case, if you failed in MGS, you also cannot go back to Keming/St Anthony, cos you had withdrawn from there - they will also probably not have any more seats in Phase 2C supp based on past stats.
PV at St Anthony's or Keming so can register under Phase2B;
wait to see how it goes and also monitor MGS situation in meantime.
If I so decide to try balloting for MGS in Phase 2C, then withdraw from St Anthony's/Keming.... is this right? so complicated leh
I like MGS cos it's the nearest (besides Pei Hwa) and I think I want a mission school, if possible. What do you think I should do? Maybe I should just try MGS, and if not successful in Phase 2C, then put myself on wait list?
I feel so confused already ....

How about doing it the other way round? We know it is possible for a representative to register on your behalf, but not sure whether he/she can do the withdrawal for you.

So instead of your SIL doing the withdrawal, she will do the registration (with your authorization letter of course); while you yourself stationed at the school you are withdrawing from. -

Yes. You are right. It is this complicated.

Rumors are that St Anthony do not accept any pvs - you should check that out.jeanieg:
You can just try MGS; but based on past stats, there is a year when balloting is required in Phase 2C for those staying <1km. In such instance, you don't even get to take part in balloting if you stay 1-2km away. So it is still best to have a back up school for Phase 2C registration, or try to secure a place in another school via Phase 2B (as above scenerio on Keming and St Anthony).I like MGS cos it's the nearest (besides Pei Hwa) and I think I want a mission school, if possible. [For my case, i wanted to go to BPPS for Phase 2C last year to take part in balloting for 1-2km. Who knows intake reduced for last year's registration and balloting is carried out for <1km applicants. So i just register in another school lor. No sweat

This is probably a long shot, but does anyone know when NYPS’ P1 orientation is for this year? I forgot to check with the school and am now trying to decide on vacation dates in Nov… Much thanks in advance!

Nov 21. It should be written on the lower half of the form which was given back to you.
How is it a long shot anyway?? We are very helpful, you know.

KSP is the best!
No date written on my form, strange. They must have missed it... -

Thank you, jedamum, for your advice. So I guess you just try your chances in BPPS and when it didn't work out, you just go to your 2nd choice school?

I will check up on PV for St Anthony's and Keming.
Does anybody know how's CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace. From the website, it looks like a pretty \"quiet\" school. Any parents with kids there to give me some feedback? Would appreciate it very much! -
jeanieg:
i am referring to registration last year. on the last day of phase 2C registration, i called up BPPS and they said balloting needed for <1km; as i live 1-2km away, i naturally went for my next nearest school aka 2nd choice school
So I guess you just try your chances in BPPS and when it didn't work out, you just go to your 2nd choice school?
I will check up on PV for St Anthony's and Keming.
Do let us know about pv on St Anthony and Keming under the relevant thread.
