On a serious note, do come if u are free, especially if u are a lower pri student's parent open to explore this performing art as your dd's CCA. We need more talents! It is really a beautiful performance to the eyes. It is so elegant and graceful (like ballet), yet skillful (like Artistic Gymnastic). I was totally mesmerized by it when I kay-po to attend last yr's Open competition, I couldn't stop my strings of \"Woah! Wu! So nice!\" My dd was also captivated by it so much then that she decisively dropped her Chinese dance in sch and switched to RG .. heehee.. so far never long back and enjoys it so much .. and aspiring to be like those big jie-jie.. eg Funx3's dd lah!
Hope the passion, determination and perseverance (haha, we joked that it is 1 year's of hardship for 1min+ of fame!) last .. -

Totally agree. Children who are in P1 should have teachers who can help them adjust and adapt to primary school. As parents, we hope teachers care and motivate...not a lot to ask for right?
I hate this type of Ts. Granted, not everyone is blessed with the ability to inspire, but at least don't demoralise our children. That's the least we can expect from Ts.JoeeYee:
She anti my dd lah, always pick on her, I think personality clash....
Dd very affected and totally gave up on her lessons, including handwriting also gone from very neat to illegible.
Each and everyone of us parents here have given our best shot to groom our kids as best as we could. So it's a big, big responsibility the Ts have. -

Hi JoeeYee n janet_lee88Hi JoeeYee,
My son's FT is somewhat similar to HOD Science. After the few occasions talking to her and also that PTM (parent-teacher meeting), I wish I could strangle her :x Both she and HOD Science share one similarity - not keen to have students who are pro-active. I am praying very hard
she won't be the form teacher again next year.
How about have a talk with the P? I knew of a mum who have some similar problems ... after PTM, she had a word with P regarding the teacher ... it turns out P knew abt the particular FT who has some personal issues, was sent for further counseling and FT became a better teacher. -

His teacher supposed to be 'senior'. With 2 more terms under her, I don't want her to make son's life miserable. Better not approach P.

My Gal Asked me Never DO that Again. [/quote]I got son to ask T regarding topics which will be tested for SA1, so that I can plan revision. First time mum of child in P5, so how do I know that EVERYTHING from P3 will be tested. In any case, she should not embarrass my boy by telling him to repeat what she had said IN FRONT OF WHOLE CLASS. My boy was so mad with me. Is there a problem being pro-active ? :x
