I would like to send my daughter to CHIJ (TP) as well. Called the school yesterday and was told that for Phase 2B beyond 2km, it is like 15 applicants vs 1 vacancy. Now I have to consider CHIJ (Katong). I really hope it is good.

would anyone know if it is really necessary for the parents to provide their baptism certificate in addition to the child's baptism certificate when registering for Phase 2b? I was told earlier this year when i went to the school (CHIJ TP) that all that was required was the child's Baptism Cert. Now I have a problem looking for my baptism cert..

I contacted 3 CHIJ's and all say only child's Baptism Cert

Hi YJJ Thanks for your comments. I was considering to put my girl at CHIJ (OLGC) at Sgoon Garden under 2B. However after reading your comments, I am seriously thinking of changing to CHIJ OLN. Under phase 2B we are eligble for both schools and both are convieniently located. Do you have any idea abt CHIJ OLGC?

You're so lucky to be within 2B for both schools, is that with the same address? If one is under guardian address, please double check rules & regulations. Please confirm + stamp + chop everything to make sure though...

No we are Catholics and hence both schools accept us under 2B. When I called the school they say that as long as we have the baptism cert, they will take her in. So far no balloting in 2B and she should get it, even if we are out of 2 km. We live in Serangoon central and so both schools are convienient. thanks

I am intending to enrol my daughter in CHIJ Our Lady of Good Counsel in Ang Mo Kio. Anybody have any idea how is the school? It seems from the school's web site that the PSLE results are above the national average for the last few years. How about other factors like the caring principal, loving teachers, the conduct of the students in general, etc?

Hi Its my turn this yr to register my daughter in CHIJ OlGC. How is the school as ur gal must have joined the school. Can anyone comment if CHIJ OLN or CHIJ OLGC is a better option?

Hi Am so pleased...registered my girl for CHIJ OLN and found out from school that they have 65 registered for the 81 seats. So most likely will have good news this Friday.
