Chief: Heard boys fm St Stephen can be rather notorious too, u heard abt it?
Any parents whose kids any St Stephen able to share?
Hmmβ¦what other school would you recommend, chief? Tanjong Katong, Geylang Methodist? -
My hubby was from St Stephen and moved on to St Pats (quite normal). He don't appear to be the notorious type and this also applies to his friends (who range from bankers to lawyers - all pretty decent type). The only one with \"notorious\" image is probably class 95 DJ Glenn Ong who also went through the St Stephen and St Pats route. Somehow, I always feel that those who went through saints school route are unique in their own ways (eg. behaviour, thinking,etc...).
He likes the saints school environment and he think it's \"cool\" compared to SAP school environment which our kids are in... (\"so cheena\"). I was just telling my girl over the weekends that if she does well and is good in her chinese, she can consier dunman high,etc... next time. My hubby was like..... don't think they need to be too powerful in their chinese or be super chinese type.... Though his chinese is at \"A/ AO\" level std but it's ltd edition so the kids don't trust him for chinese coaching and he is struggling with even P1 chinese at time  Maybe it's just him....
But like all stereotypes, there's always such impression that saints school boys are notorious while the convent school girls are \"wild\"??? On the other hand, my gp's sons are from St Stephens and he told me that teachers are more bochap type, probably less stress academically? So as parents, you need to know your kids and see if it's best suited for them. If kids do well, all of them have a chance to go to uni despite the kind of primary schools they attended. -
I AM STIlL WAITING FOR MY CONFIRMATION LETTER FROM MBS for Phase 2A2.
Why are they taking such a long time ? -
MMM: Thanks v much for sharing...sigh! My son hor is the scare scare type and so if he gets into the notorious type of school i will have problem cos very soon he will get bullied and then tell me dun want to go school...Maybe i think too much..too stress over P1 registration

-
By the way, can we go see the live balloting for Phase 2C ?
My friend is enrolling his son for phase 2C, I thought he might be interested to go see see.
