Data can also be collected from MOE.

Use an excel sheet to add all school spaces.

I think many factors besides the Animal sign contributes to birth rate. Y2004 has the lowest birthrate because of SARS in 2003, less people conceive in 2003 to give birth in 2004.

Then in Aug 2004, the government introduced 3 months maternity leave and bb bounus package, that helps to boost the following birth rate.

I believe the birth rate should be higher in 2008 year of Rat beacuse of the latest procreation package from the government even though the world's economy slow down.

Anyway, it doesnt really matter about the birth rate since all schools are eventually reducing the number of classes to cater to single session. It will be always comptetitive every P1 registration. 😒

                    Hi angiwong,

                    http://www.singstat.gov.sg/pubn/reference/yos/statsT-demography.pdf

                    Life births in

                    2003 : 37,485
                    2004 : 37,174
                    2005 : 37,492

hmmm ...just wondering...how will that affect balloting?
                    Hi there,
Just for your infor. the school may need to readjust intake no. of students for P1, if the no. of babies is low the year. most likely the good school will remain. Generally it is good if no. of babies low.
