Would love to hear comments from parents with daughter is OLGC? Thanks alot.
My daughter is currently in P1 at OLGC. So far I am very happy with our choice
Pros:
Small, friendly school
Made a lot of effort to settle the girls in gently at the start of P1
Not a pressurised environment
Focus on character development
Good facilities - relatively new school building, computer lab, dance studio, small garden for recess time
Pioneer school for the new PAL programme (Programme for Active Learning) - they have extra periods of sport/art/music etc
Cons:
Not for you if you want an academically strong school although they are still rigorous enough
Slightly sheltered environment - most of the girls are from quite well-off families so if you are looking to expose your daughter to a spectrum of society you won't get that. However, so far I haven't seen too much evidence of girls showing off how much money they have etc -
Hi,
I recently moved to Golden Hill estate and CHIJ OLGC is only a 5-minutes walk from where I stayed. I am thinking of transferring my 2 girls (P3 and P1) from Marymount Convent to CHIJ OLGC due to its close proximity.
Can you advise if there is a good chance for me to seek a transfer? Is the principal friendly?
Thanks -

>>Yes. CHIJ is the best. -

Does anyone have any comment on CHIJ our lady of nativity and OGLC?
Does anyone know if I can still do volunteer work for OGLC? I am a non Catholic.
I am within 1km from Rosyth, 2km from OGLC. How our lady of nativity comes into the picture cos my in laws is the care-taker, therefore I can if I want to declare during the year of registeration, and that will be within 2 km.
Would like my girl to go into Rosyth but heard it focus more on the very good students and don’t want to stress my girl too much. and Rosyth is just so popular.
Appreciate if someone can advise. -
Your profile indicates that your daughter’s birth year is 2006? If that’s the case, then you are probably too late to get yourself into the PV program. The duty cycle for 2006 child is from July 2011 to June 2012, so the PVs should already be working towards fulfilling the 40hrs requirement.

Hi,
May I ask which is a better choice:
1) CHIJ (OLQP) or CHIJ (Kellock)? -
Any openhouse for CHIJ (OLQP)?
